raptor4d4 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I've been thinking of getting an ENB for a while. I've learned you can turn ENBs off and on by pressing Shift+F12? That's good so I can toggle it on for pics and then off when I want to play normally. What's a generally recommended ENB for sex pics these days? How do you install one anyway? With MO?
raptor4d4 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 Done a little independent research. Found this video. Of the ones shown in this video, I'm leaning towards Pure Lights or Cinematic Lighting with Natural Lights & Atmospherics close behind. Below are my specs. Which one do you think my PC can handle best?Intel Core i5-670k CPU @ 3.40 GHz8GB RAMAMD Radeon R9 270
Kaz Aanh Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Just go to nexus > filter by ENB Presets > show by most downloads/endors. But remember , the best presets are hidden very deep. They are called a hidden gems.

I have a GTX 970 and my frame rate still dips below 30 with Pure Lights. Mind you I also have a lot of 4K mods. As for recommendations, it really depends on what you want. Do you want something dark and drab and a bit more realistic for a place like Skyrim? Then try Serenity ENB. Want something that adds a lighter tone and more vibrancy? Try Aeon ENB. You really have to test yourself and see what you like.
Rorschach666 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 for performance, gameplay performance enb: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53100/? otherwise, bleak enb: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24828/?

Just recently switched from Realvision to Bleak ENB. Great looking and great for performance on my machine.
NamelessRogue Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I personally don't use a enb as there are mods that can do the one thing i want from a enb (enhance light and shadowss) and do not hit performance at all like enhanced lighting for enb lite http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/59733/?works without a enb and for darker nights and dungeons i just turn brightness all the way down and install this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49472/?it darkens the nights but you can still see and zero performance hit .. if you still want darker nights still climates of tamreil would not suggest running it with darker nights mod... Edit I tried mike fox's darker nights and darker dungeons probably the closest to a enbs level of darkness just don't expect to be able to play at night or in a dungeon without light spells or droppable lit torches and wearable lanterns
LLuser13 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I use illusion enb. I have a 390 and I optimized my ini's for 8gb and I run it smooth at 60fps and it's the best looking enb I've tried so far. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71270/?
Darkwisdom Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Honestly, they're all very similar nowadays. I use Opethfeldt ENB, good performance and it looks compared to the FPS hit. As others have said, all of the most popular ones require a ridiculous setup, Climates of Tamriel, lots of textures and such to hide their mediocre ENB. The best stuff is hidden, where people who experiment normally don't get the most views.

They also recommended these two. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71860/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48730/? Urg! So many choices!
Shermie Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Tried many Enb...started with jasmine..real vision..bleak..goddess...always went back to a K....
tand0022 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Tried many Enb...started with jasmine..real vision..bleak..goddess...always went back to a K.... Basically the same as u shermie, always going back to a K one. Using Evok fantasy atm, doesnt crush my framerate as hard as K does.
ricksterdon1029 Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 If u want something realistic for the EXTERIOR, try T.A.Z Visual overhaul... or if u want something fantasy+realistic for both EXT. INT., try Rampage ENB... Actually, there was an realistic ENB named TK ENB, it offer u a great lightning+DOF... but the author itself removed the ENB.... for more info try : http://www.tesgeneral.com/#!enb/c5x
raptor4d4 Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 I've given it some thought and I think I'll try that Aeon ENB first. Any good installation videos I can watch to help me through setting it up? I've seen videos for other ENBs but with my luck Aeon will have something slightly different like an extra step the others don't have. I use Mod Organizer if that matters at all.
Guest MonsterFish Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Despite what Ricksterdon said, TK ENB is up and running and features a 'How to install' tutorial on the file description
raptor4d4 Posted December 16, 2015 Author Posted December 16, 2015 Despite what Ricksterdon said, TK ENB is up and running and features a 'How to install' tutorial on the file description Looked up a video of this ENB. Doesn't look bad. Might try this one first instead. Thanks! And even though I'm using Mod Organizer, I still install all the files in the actual Skyrim folder and not the MO folder? Does an ENB automatically trigger when you start playing? Will I have to hit Shift+F12 to turn it off right away or turn it on?
Guest MonsterFish Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Yeah, Mod Organizer has nothing to do with ENBs. And it'll trigger depending on which one you use. For a wrapper it'll load it up every time you open Skyrim. For injector it'll open as long as you opened Injector first. You press Shift + Enter (For me, I think it depends on which keybindings the ENB makers made it) to go into options so you can mess around with stuff.

I though all were automatically set to Shift+F12? Should I press Shift+Enter first? Or is that only with Injector?
Guest MonsterFish Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Okay so... you kind of need to have either the ENB wrapper or ENB injector. You have no choice in the matter, otherwise you just have a load of txt documents. Wrappers and injectors do what they say on the tin. A wrapper wraps, IE it is constantly on and the only way to turn it off is to delete the ENB Wrapper file. And an injector injects, IE it will 'inject' itself into your game when you have the injector application opens. You can find both of these downloads on the ENB homepage hidden around... somewhere. ENBs aren't just random things people cobble together in an effort to make them look pretty (Well.. they are... but you get the point). In the enbseries config file under [iNPUT] you'll find the hotkeys used for certain things like taking screenshots or opening to toolbar in their number keycodes. I guess by default the one for the options menu is Shift + Enter cus mine doesn't seem to have one for opening the menu (Unless it's KeyCombination, which for me is 16 which would make it shift... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

Really wish the instructions I've been reading included stuff like this injector. I found it on that site. Now I have another thing I have to research how to install! It's a nightmare. Why can't instructions have everything at once?!
raptor4d4 Posted December 17, 2015 Author Posted December 17, 2015 Was going to try the TK ENB but comments in the download section say that there is something wrong with the current version and to use the previous version. But there is no download link to the previous version. Went back to Aeon but the instructions say to use the ENB wrapper and I was planning to use injector. Back to my search...
Guest MonsterFish Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 You can use Wrapper OR Injector. If we're talking about scripts they are no different, only one will be on always and one will be on when Injector is on. They both load ENBs exactly the same.
Guest Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 Well, it'll probably look bad if I'm the one talking about it, but MariENB is pretty good if you want both a lot of features and good performance (and like tweaking, oh boy). I'm still in the middle of code cleaning and some big changes, but the currently available version is still fine. Just make sure your system is well cooled. I overheated my 560Ti once with everything enabled (some random part even came loose, but it was nothing some minutes in the oven couldn't fix though), my case doesn't have very decent ventilation.
raptor4d4 Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 I tried installing one ENB but I think I got something wrong. Everything was very...white. A lot of color had disappeared. I uninstalled that one. Going to try this one instead. Detailed instruction video. Looks good and hopefully with these instructions I won't mess up.
Guest MonsterFish Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 If it's white it's probably because you didn't turn of Anti-aliasing or antisotropic filtering.
