Duster84 Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 greets it up to ya looking to upgrade and get all DLC. haven't fully started a game yet, still tweaking mods. using MO and STEAM. can i just buy the DLCs, install via steam and rerun MO and be good to go (barring issues with DLC specific problems) for the most part? no need to uncheck/recheck things besides runnign fnis again? ty
Kuroyami Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I got the Legendary version of the game myself, and thus MO correctly recognized the DLC when I first ran it. But I would think that if you only have Skyrim now, getting the DLC from Steam should have no problems with MO recognizing it. They should show up in MO like this: *unmanaged:Dawnguard *unmanaged:Hearthfire *unmanaged:Dragonborn This means MO is properly reading the content, but is not managing any of the files added by the DLC. It should be fine to leave them as such. The order above, is how you want to order them so the game will read them properly - LOOT will sort the .esm files for the DLC in basically the same order. If you install the Unoffical Legendary Edition patch as well(it's a good idea), then place that mod right after *Unmanaged:Dragonborn. As for FNIS, you might need to re-run it after getting the DLC, as they do add some animations, skeleton files for new creatures, etc.
