Gassernorm Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Is anyone using SLI and a 4k display? I have a rather disappointing bug. The protagonists face turns black with SLI enabled, if turned off it appears normal. Does anyone know of a work around?
Silvist Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Yup, same bs happens to me. I refuse to play without my sli. The only minor solution i've found is when I get a black face, I do a quick reload in game. I'm taking a look through this guys post to see if the configuration helps with it at all: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/895438/pc-games/fallout-4-temporary-working-sli-profile/post/4737920/#4737920

I'm using a GTX 690 and get the same glitch. I could bear saving/reloading every ten minutes or so, but installing CBBE has made it so that in high population settlements, at least a third of settlers will be black face immediately after reloading. It's getting old fast.
Silvist Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Nope I had no luck with that either. It really annoys me as well. I'm also sometimes getting some kind of odd shader discoloration where it looks like my character has a minor shape on her face. There is new drivers out today, so maybe it'll help. The fact that the game is so buggy with SLi is really ridiculous. I've played plenty of games that don't even support sli that have less issues when its forced on Lol. If I find any solution I'll make sure to post it here.
Marauderrr Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 It seems to be related to extreme shadows over the facial texture...I've tried different shadow settings which have worked for a while. then the bug reappears. I also found a workaround which again, only seemed to work for a while....type "showlooksmenu player 1" in console and adjust the face slightly. Save and exit. Again, this only seemed to work for a while and then the black face reappeared. Maybe this will work for others but maybe not...really frustrating.
Gassernorm Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 I've gone back to Skyrim until this bug is fixed. Please let me know if and when a fix is available. Thanks.
Storm X Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 This link should fix it. Worked great for me and got rid of all my SLI issues. You will need to read the whole thing. Storm X.

SOMEGUY789 Posted April 9, 2016 Posted April 9, 2016 I've started getting this despite not having SLI so anyone have any idea what might be causing it in general?
