Blutmond666 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Hi, I have a question. I had to reinstall my windows and i did a backup of all my Skyrim an NMM data. I reinstalled my NMM and my problem is, that i dount know how to manage it that NMM is showing my installed mods again . NMM is showing all my esp files but in mods is nothing. Perhaps you can help me
Guest MonsterFish Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Your mod data is stored in C(Or whichever drive you happened to install NMM in)>Games>Nexus Mod Manager>Skyrim so if you don't back that up I'm afraid you've lost it.
Aya ॐ Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I'd also strongly recommend you'd take this chance and switch to Mod Organizer, it'll make your life easier.
Guest Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Your mods shuld be installed in Game/Nexus Manager/VirtualInstall folder. Check if they are there. If they are not, you didn't install NMM correctly. In hat case, reisntall NMM following steps from my OP Various tips about installation and post installation of NMM. But if they are there and you did your backup properly, read my OP: How to make Backup and how to restore your Backup and How to fix missing mod files after migration to lastest NMM version: All the help you need for installing/migration/backup mods are written on my OP. Please, check them and let me know what you did and what is the final result.

There is a great deal of info there. Others that use NMM likely will help chime in there as well as that is a main thread. Sometimes people don't look at the new threads being created for support on such things as NMM, MO or the like.

Guest Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 OK, have you followed the steps in How to make Backup and how to restore your Backup starting from the topic 4?
Blutmond666 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 Yes i read it i tried it and i think i have data missing. That sucks sorry Thank you for your help. Next questionis is there a chance to fix my problem or do i have to install my hole mods again?
Guest Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Sorry it didn't work for you. have you checked your Virtualinstall folder to see if your mods are there? If they are not, you didn't install NMM correctly. In that case, reinstall NMM following steps from my OP Various tips about installation and post installation of NMM. But if they are there and you did your backup properly. Anyhow. You can do one of two options: 1. revert your NMM to earlier version, the one before 060.+ (the whole procedure is described in the OP) 2. You can uninstall NMM completely and reinstall it again following the procedure from my OP ( there were users that had similar problems as you and he successfully done both options. I suggest you to read my thread and you'll find the help how did they do it if you find my OP difficult to understand.)
