Anosaki Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I've modded Skyrim before, alot, But now...I'm not sure what the problem is. Right now I'm trying to update all my mods, incase there are any new versions. Some normal mods, lots of lewd ones. I recently had to move skyrim to a external to make room in my main HD. Now I'm having problems modding. First of all there is a new nexusmos manager version that I think may have affected my mods. Anyway, I reset Skyrim to default and starte d modding again. Two problems alread, FNIS doesn't seem to do anything but give me Error 2001 when I press the update button. And CBBE isn't worked at all. Can anyone help me out? What I need might even go as far as real time step by step instructions to make sure I don't screw this up all over again Can anyone help?
Guest Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Hello. First give us some info about: * The mod manager you are using (is it NMM? or MO?) * How you distributed your files (mods to an external hard drive? Maybe with MO...) Thank you.
SkeetRim Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 v0.61 Nexus Mod Manager sucks... If I were you revert back to a previous version(I have the latest version installed into a different folder for Fallout 4) or switch over to Mod Organizer. Since you're starting from scratch right?

Wow I wish someone wrote a guide about modding skyrim step by step to cover everything you'd need to cover. If so they probably put it in a sticky post in this section of the forum, or even put it in their signature.

Storms of Superior Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 One thing that I found is that my mod manager and my Skyrim installations were required to go in the same folder. I don't understand why that is, but many problems just disappeared after that.
Raider1 Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I stopped using NMM after this last update fiasco, which solved some of my problems but it appears that the latest Version of SKSE is causing CTDs on a fairly regular basis as well. Rolling back to the last good version just cripples quite a few mods I have installed.
Anosaki Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 My mod folder is on the PC, the game files of Skyrim are on a external, and I'm using the latest Nexus Mod Manager. I've modded before, I just don't know how to deal with these new errors I'm having to deal with.
