Help Compile Audio Dialogue for SexTec!

Due to the fact that we now have a voiced protagonist in the game, maybe we ought to start thinking about finding dialogue that can be useful in a sexual context. Sure, we can do it the ol' Skyrim/New Vegas way with silence, but Amorous Adventures showed that it is possible to create sexual tension using dialogue that was already in the game.

So what I ask is this: If you heard or remember lines that could be used or edited to use for sexual context, document it here! It probably won't be useful later for sorting purposes, in terms of actually finding the dialogue, but it could be useful just for scripting how a mod "plays out." If nothing else, it's just an option to have and if it's too much trouble we'll stick with silent.

If I end up being less lazy, I'll try to compile it all here in the first post with categories of possible use.

Heh.  Amusingly enough, I had pretty much the same idea.  Been holding off playing the actual game until now (waiting to purchase a slightly more robust computer), but I figure limping through the game with my older pc would be worth it if it can pave the way for something far more awesome in the future.

Though to be fair, I'm aiming for a mod that makes the fem (at first, not sure how close the male dialouge shadows the females) pc optionally behave/sound like a enthusiasitic, adventurous porn star in a quest to shag anything remotely attractive across the wastland.  For great justice.

While possessing a voiced pc makes the immersion and rpg style a bit more shoehorned, with a bit of luck, love, and generous allotment of sticky fluids hopefully it'll provide the tools for just such a amusing escapade.  Working and tweaking audio takes a while, but until the officall modding tools come out there's plenty o' time anyway.

So, yep, gonna make a list.

Check it twice.

Gonna find out who sounds naughty and nice.

Fallout's heroine is gonna (eventually) shag everything-- in town.

The best kind of character. But yeah, I'm not expecting anything spectacular to come of this. Just an option. I currently don't actually have any lines in mind, nothing that I've heard that stands out other than, "Fuck. You." I've got terrible auditory memory. But I thought it would be a good option to have. We will undoubtedly end up with silent dialogue mods simply because there's no way this can pan out to cover everything. It'll be good either way though.

I already posted a topic about it, (I dunno if it was in new or old version of loverslab tho), on working to make an easy to use app to create dialogue directly from an input text. (The principe is simple, decompose every dialogue ingame to words (with tags depending on how it's pronounced). It takes a lot of time even for one fuz file tho ;_;

That sounds really... complex... I know pretty much nothing whatsoever about programming, how would it work exactly?

Basically, take a fuz file (voice file) that say "good dog", convert it to a modifiable format (raw/wav/mp3) and decompose it to have 2 voice file, one that say "good" and another one that say "dog". Then  after doing the operation with all files, you have a full dictionary of voiced words.

Then my app will let you type a sentence, by example "good dog", choose a particular intonation (angry/happy...), choose which character (malepc/femalepc/raider....) and press "ok" button. The app will then try to find each words (with particular intonation, for particular character) and will add them consecutively in a new raw file, and then will convert it to fuz format. The app will alert you for each word not found, so you can modify your sentence to be as seamless as possible ingame.

(then tis the job of the mod creator to implement it ingame).

The only thing that takes time for this project is decomposing ALL fuz files, and they are a lot!

Do you already have this application built?

How did you managed to give "intonation" to words? (I am asking because is is not enough to change the pitch or the volume, or the tone, intonation in some cases changes the phonemes.)

I suppose you didn't do that. And I suppose your final raw file will be just a just-apposition of the original parts of the original sound files.

So probably they will sound really bad.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but I don't think that LeFlemard's application changes intonation of words, but catalogs all dialogue and categorizes them according to what the word is, and what inflection that it's being said. For example, if the female protagonist says the word "fuck" in three different sentences in all of Fallout 4, it will record that it was said in the different ways that it was said and then add them to a database with categories.

[Anger]          [Disbelief]        [Happy]

 Fuck               Fuck               Fuck

And then it does this with all words so that if the words are there, you would be able to tell the application what you want to be said, and it will search its "dictionary" to see if it can be made. So if you wanted the voice to say, "Fuck me hard!" in a happy voice, it would look for the words you used in the Happy category.

Did I understand it correctly?

For the intonation : I add tag depending of the original fuz file, which gives the context. I'll be happy to have help for pitch changing and the like tho (I'm no audio engineer).

The app is wip, since I don't really have all the time in the world for working on it. (I'm a student, I have exams to prepare before f4 came out).

For the end file, no it won't be a just-apposition, no robo voice (well except for early model synth voice), I'm trying to find the perfect ajustement and create intonation rules which will render it fluid.

But as I said I'm a student, I can't do much before holidays starts .

Ah, yes, found your answer after posting. The basic principle is pretty much here. But like CPU said, just doing that is not enough or you have robovoice.

Link to comment

You will NOT get robovoices following your approach.

The actual pitch, tone, volume of the phonemes of the "campion" of the voice "the word", will be OK.

The really hard part is to join together the words.

In English and many other languages the initial and final phonemes of a word do change depending on the preceding or following word.

And so the intonation depending on where is the subject (in English, for Latin languages is the object, for oriental languages the rules are different.)

About changing the "pitch" or the "volume" this is the easiest part.

Changing the tone is difficult because has to be done by phoneme (and depends on the spoken language.)

I think the most effective way long term (as in the good for the whole modding community)  would be to pick out the pronunciation keys http://www.thefreedictionary.com/_/pk.htmfrom the main characters(s) and make that how you type the dialog.

Not sure if it's the original pronunciation key alphabet covers every possibility of pronunciation but as the would be application grows and get adjusted they would probably be there in the end - and it already covers quite a lot, here they have 6 different ways of saying "what" written out: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/what

Probably difficult but from what I've seen from Skyrim modding, it's very achievable.

Oh.... Interesting, I'll try to see if I can obtain a better voice with this method. (That also mean less work to do, so I'll try that asap)

You can also use combat grunts and moans for sexual grunts and moans.

(We use the same nerves, mouths, vocal tracts, etc. in both cases - and yes, this sometimes even disturbs adults because we can so easily to get the wrong idea, or get the right idea and thing we have the wrong idea, or ... -- which, I suppose, is a part of why euphemisms, disclaimers, rituals, fetishes and outright bans can be so popular for people dealing or maybe not dealing with sexual contexts.)

I think OP's mainly looking for protagonist AND companion dialogue that could be suggestive when the context is changed, not necessarily sounds during the act.

Amorous Adventures is an ambituous project by FoxFingers to extract existing lines of dialogue and combine phrases in a single sentence to sound suggestive or romantic using advanced audio editing.  I can't imagine how tedious and time consuming it took for the Serana arc alone.

Now that I know people are planning to replicate FoxFingers' idea from Skyrim to Fallout 4, I'll be on the look out for any ambiguous dialogue that can be used.

One that comes to mind is the 4th and final Piper affection dialogue.  Protagonist says, "Is it really so hard to believe someone could fall for you?"  That could go under a "Generic Romance line" category.

I actually just recently began my own process of splicing together audio/dialogue from the vanilla game for use as a future modder's resource. :D

My primary goal is to edit and compile seamless dialogue and audio that can be used across the board. Bits of sentences retooled and meshed together to fit a more generalized sexual/romantic context, individual breaths/grunts/moans/screams cut from the original dialogue and trimmed to sound more natural with subtle fade-ins/fade-outs (making it easier to "mix and match" and blend everything together, in essence), and so on and so forth. You can check the thread out here, along with a short preview of what I've put together so far and my plans.

Just checked it out, and that's pretty bloody fantastic.  ..It's also pretty much what I have been doing as well.  Heh.  Maybe I'll try and focus more on situational dialogue, the stuff building up to the act itself or, uh.. something.  It's a pretty huge sea of words to sift through as is, and tons of gameplay to explore, so I'd like to avoid doubling up/redundancy if I can.  Maybe I'll make a log of what I've tackled or... something.  Hm.

Anywho, still awesome.  This is the sort of stuff that could really give the F4 modding that extra shine, ya know?

That's fantastic! Hopefully between your work, LeFlemard's application, and people suggesting to this thread, having fully voiced content can become more plausible than before. I honestly created this thread because voiced mods are somewhat of a pipe dream. But perhaps no longer!

After spinning the mobile above Shaun you can talk to Nate and if you use the sarcastic option your character says something along the lines of "so you can get me pregnant again?"

Yeah that is the sarcastic line. That would work perfectly. I'll keep my ear to the ground for more bits. Playing through the game now with a female SS.

The fully-voiced PC could severely limit this in regards to them. A universally silent PC mod would be preferable to some of us. As would muting certain NPCs and companions like Nick Valentine; the actor who did him voiced so many NPCs in Skyrim, particularly total assholes like Mercer Frey, that I've grown to loathe that sound.

Otherwise I like this idea. It was a masterstroke of genius and skill that Amorous Adventures was able to reconstruct sentences from individual words and phrases into such a smooth and fitting series of dialogue. I hope we can get another mod even half as aurally appealing.
