psychotrip Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Hi guys! First time posting here, and I'd really appreciate some help. I downloaded the Sexlab framework, transferred everything normally, ran FNIS and it recognized that sexlab was there, but when I go to NMM "Sexlab esm" doesn't appear under the plugins list. It's so strange because I manually dragged it into the data folder, and when that didn't work, I dragged it into the NMM mod folder, and that didn't work either. Finally, I tried to "add mod from file", but when I clicked on sexlab esm and added it, it still doesn't appear in the plugin list. When I checked the download manager at the bottom of "NMM" it stated that "sexlab cannot be added". This is very frustrating as I just need this mod to allow one mod to work properly, but this has become a major hurdle. I'm sure I must be missing something stupid, but I read through the FAQ, checked forum posts from years ago, and no one seems to have my exact problem or a solution that ended up working for me. If you could help me out I'd be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

psychotrip Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Check @Elf Prince's posts on this thread: Thanks for the quick response! Unfortunately I already tried the advice on that thread a while ago, unless I missed something. I tried converting the sexlab file to a 7 zip or a rar and that didn't work. I tried setting it to open with NMM or 7 zip as opposed to the creation kit (which is what it was originally set to when I downloaded it) just in case that was somehow causing the problem. It seems like no matter what I do I can't get it to show up in my plugins list. I keep getting the message "sexlab cannot be added" no matter what. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks again for responding by the way. I posted a similar post to the nexus forums yesterday and still haven't gotten a response. I appreciate all your help!
Guest Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 go here to download SexLab and click on this button: Once the file is downloaded, open NMM, and click on "Add mod From File" (The exact name depends on the version of NMM.) If it fails again, then go in the Skyrim\Data folder, search for everything containing "Sexlab" or "ssl" and delete. Then go in the mods folder of NMM, and delete all possible files related to SexLab. Then try again to install it from NMM with "Add Mod from File."

Hmm, I tried going to the link in question and it gave me an error. The download that you circled is exactly the one I originally downloaded as well. Should I just download it again?
psychotrip Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 So I decided to test something: I tried using "add mod from file" on every esm I have from loverslab, and each one of them says it cannot be added, even ones that were added before and are working properly. I'm not sure if this is specifically an issue I'm having with loverslab, or esms in general, but it may be worth noting that every esm I tried uses the icon for the creation kit. I have no idea if that's relevant, but I wanted to add that just in case. This is getting bizarre. Can I just never use any files from this site again? Edit: Alright so it's not just esms. It seems to be literally anything and everything I've ever downloaded from loverslab. It's so bizarre because all of these files are working properly, but when I try to use "add mod from file" on them just to test if they work, I receive the "x cannot be added" error. Edit: Wait, now it seems to be completely random. I tried several mods added from the nexus and some of those wont work either. This is getting ridiculous. I think this is a problem with the mod manager specifically.
Guest Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 That is a good opportunity to switch to Mod Organizer... just keep in mind that you should not decompress the 7zip file, add mod from file expects a zip (or rar or 7zip) archive.

Haha, honestly that was going to be my next question. I was about to ask if something like mod organizer would be better for this. I've only heard of it in passing, but apparently it's much better than Nexus. So, you think the problem is coming from Nexus' end and not mine? I honestly thought I was doing something wrong. I'm going to download it now, learn how to use it, and come back here with what I discover. Thanks (again) for helping me out here. You guys are far more helpful than those at the nexus forums and I appreciate it. I'll post here again in an hour or two with my findings!
Guest Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 There is a set of threads on LLab about how to use Mod Organizer. I personally recommend @Anatriax's Guide to Immersive Skyrim. It includes in the very fisrt step a quick guide to install Mod Organizer.

It includes in the very fisrt step a quick guide to install Mod Organizer. The Mod Organize seems to have fixed everything! The Sexlab framework is working perfectly, or so it seems! I know I said it a million times but THANK YOU. I'm going to keep this tab open in case there are any more problems, but I think I'm good for now. I appreciate your help!
Guest Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Write one final post, stating your problems and how you solved them. Then use the button "Mark Solved", this will help other members to find it quickly.
psychotrip Posted October 25, 2015 Author Posted October 25, 2015 Nevermind. Making a new thread for this question.
