Nifskope Skyrim query

This might already have been asked (apologies if it has) but here we go anyway.

Back in Oblivion it used to be possible to wear an outfit that wasn't designed for your body size in Nifskope. All you had to do was open it in nifskope and change the skin material name to something else. The idea (i think) was that when the game saw skin as a material it defaulted to whatever your character had at the time, which would or wouldn't work depending on your character's body. By renaming it the skin became part of the armor or dress and was worn by the game over your real characters body. This was startlingly easy in Oblivion but I can't figure out how to do it in this recent version of Nifskope. I can't find the material tab, let alone figure out how to rename it.

Before anyone asks why I don't simply change my character's body, it isn't for my character - it's for an ingame companion. I normally travel with a few and it seems wierd to me that they should all have the same cup size regardless of race and age. It's a roleplaying thing.

Any ideas? I should also say that I have no experience with blender and know little more than how to achieve a few set goals in Nikskope, but any help would be appreciated.

If it's just cup/boby size that's bothering you use snpcw to give them different body weight. Open console, click on npc type snpcw 0 for smalleset all the way through to 100 for heaviest. Just set them different. Not enough difference? Give them armour from a different body mod, use one that you can create at the forge so it doesn't affect any npc except who you give it to.

You touch on two issues here.

First, in skyrim, you need a pair of .nif files where in earlier games you only needed one. If you do not care about supporting a range of body weights, you can solve this by making a _0.nif and _1.nif copy of the same file.

Second, there's the issue of recognizing skin textures. In skyrim, there's a flag you can set in nifskope to tell the game to replace the texture with a racial texture. I think this one is under "Shader Flags 1" in a "BSLightingShaderProperty" node. If you compare a skin node with a non-skin node it should be obvious? (I would need to download a current copy of nifskope to find the current name of this.)
