Problem with a follower using Extensible Follower Framework

I have a follower that doesn't appear and I can't dismiss. It was originally a manual follower using the MCM targeted command. 

 

Since there's nothing there, I can't select them to use console commands on. PRID doesn't work, and the age-old problem of determining reference-id from the console is now the key... without it, player.placeatme and player.moveto, and even disable, doesn't work.

 

console > help <name I gave it> returns nothing.

console > help redguard (original name) returns a list, and the highest id (ff00somethng) either isn't it or isn't effective.

 

I can still access the inventory and look at using the "leader telepathy" power, as if it's standing there, but none of the commands have any effect.

 

At this point, I'd just as soon drop it from my system because I think it's gettin in all the other followers.

That's the fall back, yes. Want to see what else out there is possible.

I'm assuming you also tried Leader's Teleportation?

 

If you want an in-game solution, what I would do is load an alternative save in which the character still appears and click on them to get their ID. Then go back to the save in question and prid the id and do what you can to fix it. It should also help you find out if the character is disabled or deleted, or if it's something else.

 

You could also reset EFF in the MCM menu to dismiss all your followers.
