Imperial vs Stormcloak - Who did you choose and why?

Yea I know right, I mean if even if my Bosmer hated the Thalmor its unlikely she worships Talos(she would worship Y'ffre - the forest god who gave them a home there logically), and Im sure she hardly thinks much of the Empire and her Skyrim goons who conquered Valenwood either.

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but the Redguards virtually buttfucked the Thalmor when they invaded Hammerfell.

 

I sided with the stormcloaks, because... come on, you have the damn DRAGONBORN on your side. I can shout FIRE at yer face. That's a big advantage. Ontop of this, Nords and Redguards are a bit similar in the way of combat, being warriors. What if they both joined together? They could damage the Thalmor PRETTY bad.

Only because the bulk of the Thalmor forces were in Cyrodiil. If it hadn't been for the Empire, the Thalmor would've swept over Hammerfell.

Had the Empire not gone for peace the Thalmor would've eventually taken Cyrodiil and had 3 former provinces + their home to build up a force to squash Hammerfell and Skyrim.

 

The Empire thinks long term, and so do the Thalmor. The Redguards and Nords only think "Me smash puny elf!".

And then the Dragonborn goes on an expedition to Akavir and is never heard from again.

Yeah good luck with that given that Ulfric is a xenophobe.

The Thalmor know how to play the waiting game and Ulfric doesn't. All they have to do is wait for him to get ambitious again and start going all lebensraum on Hammerfell and bam, new war they can take advantage of.
