Question about Idles

Just a quick question about idles and idle markers and that sort of thing.

Keep in mind, I'm an idiot when it comes to scripting or using packages or... well... anything that doesn't involve creating and texturing objects.

I want to have an NPC do a regular "idle package" where they stir the cook pot, bake in the oven, sit at the table, read books -- all that.  I found the package I need for that, and checked "world interaction", so they do.

Buuuuut.....

What if I want the NPC to use a Furo Tub or a Milk Machine (for instance).

Are those considered furniture (they show up in Furniture in the ObWindow)?

If so, will checking that "use furniture" option mean that the NPC will use the tub or machine?  Or do I gotta do something scary and complicated?

Thanks!

The normal packages are fine to use the normal furniture.

The problem on the Milk machine and the Furo tub is that they are "Ignored By Sandbox".

If you want them to be used by a sandbox package, you have to alter their references and remove the "ignore by sandbox" flag.

oh good grief is that all I had to do?

CPU, you are amazing.  Thank you for such a quick answer, I'm going to go try that out right now!

I think I'm still goofing something up.  The follower roams around the items in the cell but doesn't do much.

The cell's basically a big open room (at the moment it doesn't even have a door to Skyrim)

I have a table with food on it and a couple of chairs.  I have a cooking pot at a fireplace.  I have the Furo thing and the Milker thing, just because they were easy to find and place.

I un-checked IGNORED as instructed by CPU above for the 2 special pieces of furniture.

The follower works.  I know he does, I make followers all the time, and he works outside in Skyrim itself, or, for instance, when we went into Riverwood Trader and I stood there shopping, he stirred the pot at their fire.

But unless I say "I want you to do something" and then "activate" the milker thing or the tub thing, he absolutely ignores them.

AND, he stands there like an statue at the cook pot, and while he will sit on the chair, then he gets up and stands on it.

Any more advice from anyone?

*Edit -- the cell is navmeshed correctly.  So that can't be the issue.  *throws a tantrum*
