LLuser13 Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I spawned a merchant wench that I really want in every save game I play. I spawned her from the immersive wenches mod. I tried to use the mimic function from race mod and also tried to save her face and made it a racemenu preset to no success. I can't get my character to look like her no matter what. If i can spawn all khajits to look like her within the mod or just create a follower mod, I'd appreciate it if anyone can help me do this.
shashou Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 A theory, never tried it out before... Use a mod where you can take full control over an NPC like Alternate Actors: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36047 open up the showracemenu using the console hope you can begin editing that NPC save as a preset? Again... never tried it, don't know if it'll work
LLuser13 Posted October 3, 2015 Author Posted October 3, 2015 @shashou That's an interesting idea. I'll try it right now
BringtheNoise Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Or Open up each of the \meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\ (whatever).esp \ xxxxxxxx.nif files. Replace (whatever).esp with the esp name for colorful wenches. and open each one in nifscope until you find the one you are looking for. Once you find it, remember its name and then copy the nif from that folder and the dds file from the \textures\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\ (whatever).esp\ location. Place the nif and dds in the \skse\plugins\chargen\ folder location and then in game do an import of that head.... then do the rest of the racemenu stuff like save preset, rename the dds to the preset, bend over cross legs and kiss your ass and hope that when you load the preset it loads the dds file as well... yada yada yada.... But that is only if you can't get the character to load with the remote control function.
LLuser13 Posted October 4, 2015 Author Posted October 4, 2015 @BringtheNoise What if it's not in a nif file since it's randomly generated, or is that for a base to start with? Also what's a remote control function?
Guest toymachine Posted October 4, 2015 Posted October 4, 2015 Quicker way to find the actual facegendata (.nif and .dds) is to open the mod in TESVEdit and look for the NPCs name the Form ID of that NPC (Merchant Wench in this case) will be the name of the facegendata for both the .nif and .dds. If you are using RaceMenu the next step would be to place both the .nif and .dds those in skse/plugins/chargen. Launch the game and go to race and change to what ever the race of that NPC was. Then go to Sculpt and hit F9 to import the head nif and select that one and hopefully it looks like her. The only problem you may have, is if the mod of that NPC, if she uses different textures than yours, you'll have to swap to those to get the same appearance, otherwise you may have the very same face morphs but different textures that won't resemble her completely. I haven't done this before so I'm going off the top of my head on how this is done. If it turns out to not look anything like her, I dunno then. Maybe take screenshots of the NPCs face from orthographic and perspective view (front, sides and angle) to capture her face structure and try your best to sculpt tweak away with the sliders or the actual sulpt until you get something that looks exactly the same. Given that I've never done this before, I have created custom presets to followers through NPC Nif Merg and/or through ECE export head, which is the same as Racemenu so it seems like it would or could work.

I ended up swapping with a character and I looked a zombie after the switch due to an undead fx mod I'm running. Once you are in the other character, just bring up the console and do "showracemenu" then do the regular export head nif or save as a preset...
