ButchDiavolo Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 There is nothing wrong with being a nerd or even a geek. I didn't "become" a nerd until after high school. During high school I was the weird loner type. I was (and still am) never interested in "cliques". Joining a clique for fear of being perceived as odd or "not one of us" is ridiculous to me. Everyone is their own person and conforming to some arbitrary norm just to want to fit in is, well... sad. Why limit yourself to someone else's "standards"? Be yourself. It is much more interesting. Like the time I went to school in a mesh tshirt, wearing a kilt and wooden shoes...

I just wanted to express that I wasn't one of the "cool kids" (quotation marks this time because sarcasm), Shy, reading a lot and sticking with the other guys that were kind of the same. While the "cool kids" discussed soccer matches from the weekend we would talk about books Well, being a bit on the heavier side as a kid and getting the usual bullying for being a "nerd" didn't help lose the shyness for many years  The people from that time were the best friends I ever had. Too bad that life often interferes and spreads them all over the map.  I usually go for the policy of 'let morons be morons' and ignore them  Nerds. Give me your lunch moneys. I have a sword, come and get itÂ

Like drenching the lunch money in some contact poison that gets absorbed through the skin on touch....    I usually go for the policy of 'let morons be morons' and ignore them   That is what I normally did.
