I'm using Climates of Tameriel and ELFX but the caves stay the same color unless i use the torches setting in climates but that one seems to put more of a dark filter over the game rather than real darkness. However i don't want to get rid of climates cause it has the best looking day time as it gives the same a lightly orangish tint in day rather than the blue. Any ideas?

Simple answer, use a good ENB preset and set lighting level of your choice in interiors, this means lowering ambient lighting.

Will take some time to tinker with it, but worth it.

typically i don't use ENB's as they drop my FPS from 50 to 30.

after some tests with RLO and some other things i just noticed a default option in CoT so i can use ELFX inside lights instead. Also know any ENB's that allow frame rates with 50 or more using a 760 GTX

Well, it's your game, it's your call, without ENB skyrim is... I'm not even going there...

Nothing else I can recommend, RealVision is good looking and you can tweak it very easy for your eyes needs.

There are a lot of mods on Nexus that darken dungeons and interiors and not all of them require ENB.

I found this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48257/?while looking for something for myself.

I do not actually use it, but it looks good if you don't mind that every interior in Skyrim gets darker.
