NEW PROBLEM!!!

 

So now I have tried my hand at several conversions, and I tend to run into this problem on and off... and I don't know how to prevent/fix it.

 

When I import the clothes/armor and then import the body (Cbbe), they sometimes don't line up... not even close. The body will be a little up and back away from the clothing mesh.

 

So I figured I would re-align the clothes to match the body, since I will be re-importing the parent skeleton at the end, and don't want it to mis-align with the body it's made for.

 

Problem is, even if I don't move the body a single inch... that is exactly what happens. When I import the parent skeleton, the clothes suddenly snap back to their original position, and my skeleton doesn't align to the body correctly.

 

WTF am I doing wrong?!? LOL This has happened to me nearly every time... to the point I have to abandon my project because I can't get the skeleton to match the rest of it.

 

So my question is this:

Is there something I need to do to BE CERTAIN that my body/clothes/skeleton with match up and STAY that way?

the clothes have skin data so snap to the skeleton

 

 

to fix delete the skin data, realign and reweight

 

 

to prevent this problem you should always start by importing your skeleton first then body then armour your converting

Okay, so after a long break, I am back at it. LOL

 

So I am trying to convert 'Cool Fever' (A skin-tight sleeveless blouse, necktie, super micro-mini skirt) to a more bountiful body. I believe Cool Fever is based off of UNP, and the body I am using is CBBEv3 with silly huge breasts.

 

The trouble I am having is the same problem I have for ALL silly huge conversions from a smaller breast size... the mesh comes out all lumpy and uneven, not to mention it's REALLY hard to stretch a small amount of verticies around a giant globe, when they were made for mosquito bites. LOL

 

How in the world do I make this process go more smoothly... any helpful suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

 

Currently I take each verticie and 'massage' them around the body I am converting to. One at a time, over the span of the entire mesh. Major problems I face, is that one side NEVER looks like the other, also there are spots where it comes out 'lumpy' when the surface should be smooth.

 

As I said, any helpful pro tips are appreciated.

 

Finally, I don't know if I can even DO this, but is there a way to look at the texture applied to the mesh AS I am working on it in blender? I only ask, because when I reshape things, I want to make sure the texture looks right before I go to all the trouble of importing it in the game, only to find out it didn't apply correctly. SUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS!

 

So for the third time... any helpful super pro modder blender tips are absolutely (and desperately) welcome!!!

The best answer I can give you is try playing around with the sculpting mode in blender. When looking towards the bottom you'll see x,y,z axis buttons. Usually the x axis works the best. What it does is makes both sides of the mesh move perfectly with each other. So if you grab one breast on the right side the left side will move perfectly with the right at the same time. Making moving vertices one at a time a nightmare for the past. You can use the grab button for most of your meshing needs.

 

As far as the textures go you can go into shading. Then click on textures buttons and if there is all ready materials on the mesh delete them. Click new and in the texture type pick image. find your .dds file and load. Now in the mode button scroll up to texture paint to view the textures. they want stay when you switch back to sculpting or what ever. but its at least a quick way to view whats going on. hope this helps.

 

Crab Edit: Also before you put textures on the mesh switch to edit mode and highlight all the vertices. then split your screen and switch to uv edit. Then highlight all those vertices as well. then follow the above crap. Ok that's all I've's gotss have fun.....
