PSiRoflcopter Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Dump from FNIS. I have followed the installation instructions from STEP by the letter, twice, deleting FNIS each time and even tried making an entirely fresh profile in MO. I have read all the topics posted on steam, nexus, and here, and nothing seems to work. Here is my dump: >>Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from a Skyrim installation directory.<< FNIS Behavior V5.5 9/8/2015 9:57:54 PM Skyrim: ??.?? - D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam) Skeleton(hkx) female: Default (99 bones) male: Default (99 bones) Reading FNISBase V5.5 ... All Anim Lists scanned. Generating Behavior Files ... Creature Pack not installed 47 animations for 1 mods successfully included (character) 1 Warning(s). I have dozens of mods that use FNIS, including Creature Pack. Why it doesn't pick them up I have no idea. Here's my setup: Skyrim main dir: D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\MO main dir: D:\Skyrim Mods\ MO mods dir: D:\Skyrim Mods\mods\ FNIS has been added to MO by making a new exe pointed to: D:\Skyrim Mods\mods\FNIS Behavior V5 5 -- ALWAYS necessary\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\GenerateFNISforUsers.exeTitle is "FNIS"I also tried running FNIS straight off the MO directory *NOT* as an executable and gets the same result as above, literally like MO isn't running it. The last thing I tried is browsing the data directory within MO and right clicking on the above mentioned exe and telling MO to add it as an exe. It creates the following when run: FNIS Behavior V5.5 9/8/2015 10:03:08 PM Skyrim: 1.9.32.0 - D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim\ (Steam) and then FNIS crashes with an unhandled exception saying it could not find a file. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'D:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Skyrim\Data\tools\GenerateFNIS_for_Users\temporary_logs\GenerateFNIS_LogFile.txt' because it is being used by another process. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.File.InternalDelete(String path, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.File.Delete(String path) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.FileIO.FileSystem.DeleteFileInternal(String file, UIOptionInternal showUI, RecycleOption recycle, UICancelOption onUserCancel) at Microsoft.VisualBasic.MyServices.FileSystemProxy.DeleteFile(String file) at GenerateFNISforUsers.GenerateFNISUsers.Main() at GenerateFNISforUsers.GenerateFNISUsers.Button1_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.18444 built by: FX451RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- GenerateFNISforUsers Assembly Version: 5.4.2.0 Win32 Version: 5.4.2.0 CodeBase: file:///D:/Skyrim%20Mods/mods/FNIS%20Behavior%20V5%205%20--%20ALWAYS%20necessary/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users/GenerateFNISforUsers.exe ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 10.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 11.0.50938.18408 built by: FX451RTMGREL CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/v4.0_10.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.34238 built by: FX452RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.18408 built by: FX451RTMGREL CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.34251 built by: FX452RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.18408 built by: FX451RTMGREL CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.34245 built by: FX452RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.0.30319.34234 built by: FX452RTMGDR CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. I am literally at my wits end. I had FNIS 5.1 working just fine. Now that I've updated I can't even get 5.1 to work when removing 5.5, deleting all files, and installing 5.1, it gets the same error.
PSiRoflcopter Posted September 9, 2015 Author Posted September 9, 2015 EDIT: Damnit, I know what it is. I havent updated MO in a long, long time. Using over 0.3x... updated to 1.3.11 and it works, just have to reinstall 198 mods!
Carida Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Did you start the game from steam at least once? Just start up the launcher. I had that error and that solved it for me. -C Hmm.. there was a way to update MO without removing your mods and keeping your profiles. It was on STEp.. seems my advice comes too late though. Sorry and Good luck -C
gvman3670 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Pull the mods folder from the old one and add it to the new one. I've had 5.5 installed in MO for some time now and it was easy to install and make work. I've been reading a lot of people having issues with MO and FNIS 5.5 so I didn't want to update FNIS, then just last night I realized I've been using 5.5 for some time now. And not the fix file either.
