Guest Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I am looking for a solution to this problem. I know they happen because of limited light sources but there has to be a solution instead of purging a lot of light sources. What are the limitations and ways I can stop this flickering? and if removing extra light sources are the only way then how many should I delete? How do the huge vanilla dungeons deal with the light issue? Portals?
Sailing Rebel Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Don't do much map creation in CK but as I recall you can only have 4 shadow casting lights in an area, and even then there may be performance issues. Switch some of the light sources to those that do not cast shadows.
Guest Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Yea, that was it and the fact that there are surfaces where lights will flicker no matter what. So what was happening is the light over the CaveGCliffs are bugged, so the clutter over them would still be lit up but depending on how and where you are looking at the cliff it would cause the light cease to exist as far the cliff is concerned. Very odd.
