Afro68 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I'm getting ready for a new PC build and I'm starting Skyrim over and testing UUNP before I build as I've learned much since my first install and I want a much cleaner install. Will there always be errors in papyrus logs and unless your game crashes should you be concerned. I have very few mods installed and here's a current log. Papyrus.0.log
WraithSlayer Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Those variable type warnings at the start are strange. Are you not using the unofficial patches? Or did you install them recently and loaded a previous save? Other than that, looks fine. And yes, there will always be a small amount of errors, especially when mods run compatibility checks and the mod they're looking for isn't in your load order.
bjornk Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Vanilla Skyrim spams the log with errors quite often. For instance there are two infamous papyrus errors involving dunBluePalaceArenaSCRIPT.pex and fxDustDropRandomSCRIPT.pex. I use two script fixes for those but can't remember where I found them. steve40 is the author, I might have found them at Nexus forums. As for Unofficial patches, well, they introduce new bugs themselves and those bugs are not widely known.

I did install unofficial patches after a previous save. I can delete and start over as I'm barely in game. I'm just trying to figure more things out so I can have a way better install than my previous one. Vanilla Skyrim spams the log with errors quite often. bjornk Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 Are those still needed? Should be covered by the unofficial patches. For vanilla Skyrim, yes, they are needed.
