Nifskope help in general

So I am learning how to use nifskope and need some help... first up

Whats the coordinates of the hat node? If it's in the skeleton.nif, which node is it?

If there was another topic like this, I am sorry for my ignorance in advance. I'm very desperate as I've been struggling with resizing headgears for the shojo race. I dont know which node to use on the child head mesh...

P.S. I already manage to fix the preg meshes for dragon girl dress... but I don't think I should make a public release yet. I plan to study nifskope and blender for a while longer to see if I can blend the breathing meshes with some clothes. Dreams :v

New issue. A certain headgear goes missing upon when looking at it on certain angles.

I'm sure it's not a enb problem as I've disabled it, but the problem persisted.

Probably not a lighting issue as I've tested it on multiple angles on different lighting conditions.

I've been modding the same headgear (fizz's nida headgear v3) to fit the shojo head, and it's been 3 days of frustration already.

The modded mesh is attached. I've left it 5 units up and 1 unit backward than the position I originally put it to test clipping issues due to the transparency bug... but apparently, it wasn't any clipping that made it disappear too. Thanks in advance to whoever can help me~

Try looking at it from below, if it shows for you, then I can probably conclude that it's my engine's problem... It shows normally on nifskope and all, so i'm very frustrated at the moment...

I am able to replicate the issue in my game with your mesh, mesh disappears. Not lighting, enb or texture issue.

I take it you trying to move the hat along the xyz axis in nifksope via translation?

If so you have to clear the existing translation off the mesh, save then reopen and make your changes. Follow the steps from this thread except in step1 instead of BSDismemberSkinInstance your looking for NiSkinInstance and in step 4 your want NiTriStrips instead of NiTrishape.

If you try to move without clearing first you get weird results.

I see, so it's not enough to normalize then work from there. Thanks, I'll try it if it fixes the disappearance issues. I might as well start from scratch.

Once again, thank you Imperfection-senpai.

Your welcome, :) let me know if you still have issues with the mesh.

Just having that niskin thing step fixed the disappearing hat.

I guess this is what people refer to as nif magic...

Normally you would not look for the translations there, but you will notice that when some data is there it appears like there is an extra bone node in nifskope

ikr? copy-pasting transform coordinates makes it look weird before hitting the apply button.
