DustyK Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Hi all Recently i purchased a new harddrive, and installed a new windows on it. My steam folder and all the games are on a different drive. After the new drive is installed i deleted reinstalled Steam on the separate drive. Now when i try to run Skyrim Launcher, Steam Client Bootstrapper will stop responding. Running the game with SKSE will work fine, however the registry key for Skryim has not been created on the new drive(Windows), so none of the related Skyrim application would work. Would greatly appreciated if anyone knows a soltuion. I do not need to launch skyrim laucher, if theres a way to manually created registry key for skyrim so that related applications would boot, that would work as well. edit: I should add that launch other games i have works fine, only Skyrim launcher is giving me this problem.
gregathit Posted August 30, 2015 Posted August 30, 2015 Sounds like you need to reinstall steam and then validate your skyrim files. There is no registry hack that is going to help you, and doing so isn't legal, so we can't help you on that front.
