Oblivion not fitting screen

I recently bought a new monitor and tried to play oblivion. When I set it to the desired resolution, the game stretches and I can't see the game. Any way to fix this?

You can try setting your ini file settings to match your monitors native resolution.

Since oblivion uses 1950's technology, it never recognizes my video card. I manually set up everything in the ini. As soon as I put it on my default resolution, it stretches the game screen and puts everything to the bottom right and I can't see to much of the actually screen.
