blackandwhite14593 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Hi! I wonder if it's possible to tweak skyrim prefs to get high textures quality only on armors, clothes, face and body, and medium or low textures on everything else around. Or if there're any mods that can achieve that.  The reason is I get pretty low performance when I set high texture quality, but I really don't want to have characters in lower  quality.  Thank you very much in advance!

WraithSlayer Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 You can also reduce the shadow map resolution in Skyrim.ini, that alone should have a very noticeable impact on performance.
gvman3670 Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 You can use Ordenador to just optimize/reduce the textures you want (like the Skyrim.bsa for example) and not optimize/reduce character textures and armors.
Killing Joke Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Keep your textures low and download textures replacers for characters-related stuff (skin, armor, etc.) vanilla textures suck anyway, even those from hi-res DLCs.
