ddrsquirrelz Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Hi, I'm trying to modify the helmet in this mod: http://modtype.doorblog.jp/archives/45606779.html I really like the hat in that mod. However, it counts as a helmet, so it replaces my hair with the one in the screenshot, as the latter is part of the helmet meshe. I'm wearing a HDT Hair wig which I quite like. I used Nifskope to delete the hair from the hat then went into CK to change the slot from Helmet to Circlet. However, the hat ended up turning invisible ingame, and it still unequips my wig. You need to change the body slot both in the CK and in the Nif file if it uses a BSDismemberSkinInstance branch, only in CK for a NiTriSkin branch. Looking at the file hatf_0.nif, we got this: Change the number of the body slot there to the same number in CK (circlet - 42). Do the same to the hatf_1.nif, save the nif file and it is done!
