Fallout3 and Fallout NV mods the same?

I was looking to add some sexout mods to Fallout 3 but pretty much all of the seem to be for NV, even when I select the FO3 menus they pop up as NV. So are NV mods compatible with FO3 or have I been clicking the wrong button somewhere?

New vegas was relesed after Fallout 3 and it uses a modified version fo the geck if my memories correct...
The closest you can get to running new vegas mods in fallout 3 is by installing ttw.  though by doing this ny fallout 3 mods you want to use must of been modifed to run with ttw.

If you are using TTW you can not use FO3 mods, you have to use NV Mods because it is using the NV engine to run FO3 Maps and quests etc.

You can convert some FO3 mods easily like clothing guns etc, but more complex mods can be a headache so the simple answer is no. Besides a sfar as sex mods go Animated prostitution etc are old mods and NV has equivalent mods doing the same thing in possibly better ways, SexoutTryout and SexoutSoliciting do similar function.

for now I decided to play FNV alone, even to take familiarity with the mods and the many difficulties of using TTW correctly with FO (see Anatriax's Guide)
