Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Ok, I've done tons of research about this on my own, and looked through multiple posts about people not running FNIS. I've done that, everything was working perfectly, i added some more mods in, its possible i added some more animations, which may have caused the issue. Quick note, when i go into SexLab and look through the animations that are not activated, should they be? Should I just check them all? IDK Here is my issue. So it started, I added some mods, attempting to get Creatures to work, go back into my game, and Defeat is no longer working, creatures or bandits. I'll go into a fight, and for testing purposes, Submit early, the enemy will approach, then walk away, while it sticks my character in place for 5-10 sec. Upon regaining control, the enemies will just attack me again (going passive for the duration of the Submit), but no animations start. As well as no sound. Also, I have other mods to initiate sex as well, Match Maker, etc. so, i can confirm all my animations are still working fine. At least when I use Irresistible spells on people, the animations run through fine. Re-installed, Defeat, and approached the 1st bandit i saw, Submitted, and it worked. At that first mine you find leaving Helgen (i'm using Alternate Start, but its where i went to test) Then, entered into a mine, 2 Bandits now, Submit, broken again. I also, deleted my Prefs.ini, incase that could fix, it didn't, also, re-created my character multiple times. (Thank mods for saving CME) Now, I get this weird message in FNIS, I don't know how to handle. >>Warning: AnimationList found in "Animations\SexLabDefeat", but no corresponding Behavior file. Incomplete mod IGNORED.<< I don't know how to find that location, to possibly find a mod to delete, or whatever. My load order, which may be the cause as well, i'm unsure how to set these (at some point, i can't move certain files to group them together) If anyone out there can figure this out, i'd greatly appreciate it.
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Fixed the error i received in FNIS. Going to attempt to see if it fixed my problem
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Ok, I fixed the error in FNIS, realizing that when I originally installed SexLab Defeat, i did it manually, (i didn't realize the author prefers you do it through NMM) Looking through the files, and getting frustrated, i seen a file named FNIS SexLab Defeat Behaviors, assuming that was added via Defeat, i deleted it. Realizing it was where my issue lied from the FNIS error, i restored it from my recycle bin. Now, the issue where it stands now. From Alternate Start, i found the first castle in range, full of Forsworn, Submitted, and everything worked. From there, ran away, and waited for 3 days, in the middle of some field. On my way back to Whiterun, I found a Bandit outpost, went in there, Defeat is no longer working. Same as before, Submit, and they make some comment, (not from the mod) something like "our next score, needs to be plentiful" I can't understand where the error is, or what the problem is. Any input is greatly appreciated

Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Ok, i know i'm posting a lot here. But I even tried Defeat V5b3.3fixed.rar, and that file only seemed to screw up the MCM menu, adding a $PlayerasVictim (the $), and removing whole menus from the MCM.
nufndash Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Sounds like the exact same problem I had, I don't know enough to tell you what the problem is but I can tell you what I did to sort of solve my problem. First of all I had the same FINIS consistence errors as you did, but I had a earlier Defeat and v5b3.3fixed still active in my mod list, so I uninstalled all three, I made a clean save, and reinstalled ONLY the latest version of Defeat. This was done via NMM. It is still not working perfect but much better than before and I think that most of the issues are stemming from several mods working against each other, not that they are incompatable with one another, but the settings you use in MCM menu's are fighting one another. If someone that had the mod working well could post their settings in the MCM menu, I think it would help a lot of people. Just be carefull who you put in a sack. I had a vampire in a sack I had to carry around on my back for 3 days and could not drop or unequip, lol.

You still have really old SexLab Defeat v3 files lingering in your install. The kind of mess you just got yourself into is exactly why you should always use a mod manager to install and uninstall mods. Mod managers don't make mistakes, and they don't forget to uninstall files that could potentially cause problems later on. You can either write off your Skyrim and start over with a completely clean install (hopefully letting NMM / MO manage files for you this time ), or you can try and painstakingly remove every single animation/mesh/script/etc file from both the old and the new version of Defeat, then reinstall Defeat 5.1.0.
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 How old is the version of Defeat your referring to Wraithslayer? Because it was just this last weekend 8/14-8/17, that i did this, i recently upgraded to Windows 10 and did a system wipe when i did that. Unless Steam has some sort of recovery on mods, i don't understand how that would've happened. Since I was pretty much getting latest update mods. Now, at one point, i did remove Defeat, and tried Submit instead. However I didn't like it as much, so i tried reverting. Maybe i picked up an extra file there, idk? Now i went into my files, and removed the folder labeled "SexLabDefeat" (under animations) and it stopped the issue i was having on FNIS. Onto another question though. From doing some browsing, some people are saying that the "surrender" button in SexLab Defeat, is somewhat broken and has a tendency to, sometimes work, sometimes not. Can anyone confirm / deny this? Because if that's the case, then the regular way of Stun / Health Threshold / Exhaustion, forms of being knocked down, seems to work. I wasn't testing for this before (idk why), and i have to go to work in the morning, otherwise i would test more, but on the 2 instances i did let it go this way, it worked fine. If I was to attempt to remove SexLab Defeat v3, manually. Couldn't I just find a download for it, find and delete the files it downloaded? It didn't overwrite anything did it? Side note, is it possible to add more animations to Defeat? I really only have like 5 it cycles through (each with stages), but it seems other mods, like Match Maker etc. have a much wider assortment of animations.
Guest Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I have a trick to delete a huge number of files precisely, but you have to have the original (search dustbin for an old archive, search folder for a version note ...) 1/ unzip the original archive into a folder somewhere else 2/ CUT (not copy) paste the content to your skyrim/data folder, it will ask to overwrite, say yes 3/ ctrl+z it will move your files back to your original folder, without re-creating the ones in skyrim/data
crusher Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 You should give Mod Organizer a try. There is a learning curve, about a week, but you'll never have old remnant files floating around in your install. Also, Save Cleaner is great for cleaning scripts from old ragged saves. When trouble shooting, it's best to test on a new game save. Good to have one (a new game save with only vanilla, no mods) sitting in your saves just for testing new configurations. You'll have to do a fresh install of Skyrim with Mod Organizer. Trouble shooting stuff is many, many times more efficient using MO.
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 I don't have the time to learn Mod Organizer, i wish i would've heard that when i started. Because I would've went with that, over NMM. But, i just used my week of vacation, and heading back to work, the intention was to get the mods working, before i returned, since it started causing so many problems. But like I said, can anyone confirm or deny that the "surrender" button is finicky? Because if it is, i'd be fine with just waiting until the next update of Defeat comes out, to use that function.
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Back to some of my other questions though, as it seems its playable now, and I think I did succeed in removing the old SexLab files. I had a file in a sub directory (probably animations) labelled SexLabDefeat, when I downloaded SexLab Defeat 5.something. I noticed the file is just called Defeat. So I think i pretty safely assumed it was the right one. Now, onto my other question, is it possible to add more animations to Defeat? I'm really interested in having some more variety in there. Using other mods, such as ASXXX or MM, I can access some different animations i've never seen before, since all i was doing was letting SexLab initiate via Defeat. Also, is there a mod that works with every animation released? I found it somewhere here, but i have 2 .rar files, (not added) labelled NonReplacerModsV5.9, and FunnyBizAnimationsV6.0, NonReplacer paths to meshes and scripts, so i understand how to add that one. (i'm assuming NonReplacer means it won't affect other mods?) And the SS here, is the paths of FunnyBiz
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Ok, nope its broken again. Still same issue i was having before, it tries to start, either by being knocked down, or by surrender, and it doesn't progress past that. Is it unanimous i should just do a fresh install using a Mod Manager?
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Ok 2 more things to add. A fresh install, remove Skyrim from Steam, and delete the files for Skyrim in MyDocuments (can i save my CME presets?) and am i missing any files i should delete. (btw i won't be doing this, until the upcoming weekend) Should I attempt to contact the mod (Defeat) creator? To see if there is any input he can add? Also, is it out of the question to just simply remove Defeat, I've done it before, and can easily find the files it added. But I would also like it to work, meaning i'd like to re-install at some point. Maybe it would make sense to uninstall for now, and wait for the update? If I followed Defeat's authors uninstallation instructions, would I not successfully remove it completely? Freeing me up for the re-install?
andrewnew Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Ok, nope its broken again. Are you already try http://www.loverslab.com/topic/19941-defeat-v510/page-388?do=findComment&comment=1215988, that the only i can point you.. Hope that help.
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Yeah, thanks for the assistance, but it did nothing to fix the problem. When I added those files, i found i already had them, it asked me to replace, which i did, and it did not fix the issue
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 Ok, the last attempt before I go all out and delete and re-install. Is following the authors advice, on the uninstall, and clean-save side of things. Now here is my question, since my CME is saved, it is NO PROBLEM to simply restart my game, so i don't understand if a clean-save option is meant to keep your original save, which I have no care to do. Or if it solves a bigger overall problem. Does it? I'm also going to follow his directions on a full un-install of the mod, and try to re-install it. I'll post my update.
Comfortblynumb2 Posted August 21, 2015 Author Posted August 21, 2015 Ok its working now. But i have one last question, if anyone still visits this post. I'll also explain what I did to fix it. I downloaded Death Alternative, and reverted Defeat back to v4.something, whatever is on his download list. I lost the Surrender option, but oh well. I'll wait til the next release. It's working now, using Death Alt's knockdown, and Defeats animations. But, here is my question, the best part for me, with Defeat, was when one animation was over, my female character would lie on the ground. In this one, multiple animations don't occur, the knock down shot guy bangs her, and then she just stands up, and i'm allowed to run away. Was that a thing added by v5.1.0?
