user619 Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I have added an static object to the creation kit and I created a world and placed it in that world but the problem is that I go through the object Is it possible to walk on the object just like you would in skyrim. The object is a place in the The Legend of Zelda The Wind Walker called Outset Island
Anatriax Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Pretty sure collision hs to be enabled in the mesh, too.
Sailing Rebel Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 The collision mesh is a part of the nif file. How you create this mesh and add it to the nif depends on your tools. Here's one for 3DS Max: 3ds Max how to do proper collisions Another for Blender: Skyrim/Adding Collision Mesh using ChunkMerge I recall having to compare notes from several sources before I figured out how to get this working (and subsequently forgot it all).
Reenana Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 o-o it be better if those terraforming screenie me see atm doesnt get mixed into 1 single nif, but into pieces. so that it can be used for another place as well c:
user619 Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 So far I made the green areas in the picture have collision and I am able to walk around without falling but I don't know why the red area doesn't work I followed this tutorial : http://www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/3883-exporting-static-meshes-from-3d-studio-max-to-skyrim/?page=1
Reenana Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 um, me mean, let separate the ground , the houses, the waters, the sands, etc into multiple meshes that has collision. so that later can be placed manually in ck. are you trying to make that whole scene have collisions? ._.

Yes and I have done it. What I did was resize the mesh and moved it up in 3ds max and exported it as a nif and than I followed this tutorial: http://www.darkcreations.org/forums/topic/3883-exporting-static-meshes-from-3d-studio-max-to-skyrim/?page=1 and now everything works I can walk around the hole mesh or scene I can't believe it was so easy I wonder how come nobody has done this yet Its fun to add stages from other games to skyrim and I still can't believe it was so easy
