Crackback Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 So i followed this guide here http://www.loverslab.com/topic/47360-anatriaxs-guide-to-an-immersive-skyrim/page-1 to mod skyrim out and now at the end of it all when i am outside and NOT looking at the ground i get about a half a frame per second note: at phase five when i was instructed to launch the game to see how it works, it worked fine. I followed this guide for about two straight days before i finally finished it, and now everything i've done has become sort of a blur and my mind is pretty tired but i'd like to finally finish this properly before i forget it completely and won't be able to be arsed to come back to this again. Please tell me what info you need me to write and how to find it and i'll try to write it. For now i just want to get this post out there to get some attention/help/ going in finding out if this was already a common problem that was solved already.  Thanks.
shashou Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Well considering everyone's computer is different, yours probably isn't strong enough to run Skyrim at the settings they suggested with the mods they have. For me, I COULD have a very pretty Skyrim with HD textures and ENB's... but I prefer playing with a LOT of scripts. A lot of the adult mods (Sexlab Aroused Redux, Devious Devices, etc.) tend to use up a lot of processing when scripting. It was so bad I couldn't run Frostfall anymore (another VERY script heavy mod). Â So I had to choose between scripts and making it look nice. Even now I need to balance it out so my computer doesn't explode from too many graphic mods. Â No single guide is perfect. You need to work around to find what works for you. Here's a tip though, since you probably installed the ENB's already... Getting rid of an ENB is a pain in the ass... Â Honestly, make a list of the ESSENTIAL mods you NEED (like SKSE, SkyUI, Unofficial Skyrim Patch) Delete Skyrim, Reinstall from scratch, and build up slowly
Crackback Posted August 15, 2015 Author Posted August 15, 2015 Here's something i forgot to mention: i CANNOT do this all over again while staying sane, and also my pc isn't really that bad either here are the specs:   Processor Intel® Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz Manufacturer Intel Speed 2.7 GHz Number of Cores 4  Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 Manufacturer NVIDIA Chipset GeForce GTX 770 Dedicated Memory 2048 MB Total Memory 3.9 GB  Memory 6.2 GB Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit Service Pack 1 Size 64 Bit Edition Ultimate   can't I just try to deactivate some of the non-essential mods in the guide's list and see which one hinders performance? (also i should mention that i did have it play at a good framerate outside with all of these mods activated once, but i don't really know how i achieved that)

( i read the "how to post on tech support" sticky but i do not have wrye smash, only wrye bash as per the guide's instructions)
shashou Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 If you're using mod organizer: there's a folder: profiles -> default copy paste from loadorder.txt  also very useful, this is where you edit your skyrim.ini and skyrimpref.ini when you're running skyrim from mod organizer

shashou Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 Agreed. Drop the lighting mods. And water textures. And cloud textures. Wet & Cold can also be a bit intensive as it's both scripts & graphics.

EDIT: actually i'll do it the other way around. also what's interesting is that after phase five (that was most of the visual mods) my game was working fine and it went through the intro sequence without a hitch
