Go to the downloads section and click most recent.  It shows the update dates of each plugin.  

Depending on how you define active, it varies.  Most folks have moved on and the few of us that remain are busy with RL.  Stuff is still coming out, it just does so in fits and spurts when that pesky RL isn't mucking things up.
