Creating compatibility patch for custom follower and Requiem

Hello folks,

 

I tried and failed miserably to follow the Requiem instructions to patch Xavier the Necromancer:

The mod author has gone AFK and closed the comments section. He is a great follower but OP for Requiem.

 

Any highly skilled person know how I can create a patch? I'm running a necro build and he'd make a good husband
