Okay, I think I fixed the shadow bug and I was able to verify the fix on my laptop equipped with nVidia card.  I went for a few fights without any odd shadow flickering or other crazy stuff, so I think it is good now.

 

In regards to the texture "issue" - it is actually in line with all nude models currently available.  There is always going to be a bit of seam going from thighs to pelvis area and it can be particularly visible during certain lighting conditions or animations (since Mai loves to do splits.. :bush:), but it really isn't overly distracting.  The below screenshot demonstrates the "seam" issue as seen on Mai (left) and Hitomi Real Nude Mod (right).

After 70 revisions on the reference Mai model, the transformer Mai support, I think, is now ready for prime time.  In this update, I've also addressed a few bugs that have long gone unresolved.

 

Short version:

V0.3.3
- Completely reshaped the Mai reference to resemble that of her official model shape
- New texture provided courtesy of SaafRats
- Fixed an error with character select (to and from) combo boxes where multiple of the same character names can some times be added when the tool is unsure of what the TMC is for.  For instance, it happens if the file name contains no char name or multiple of them.
- Fixed an error with collision transfer - Mai collision transfer should now function correctly

 

Long version:

As most of you who follow this thread and have checked out my Mai nude mod know by now that she has gone through some drastic change over the course of the week since she was released.   I manually adjusted, with assistance from my other tools, to shape the reference model of Mai so that the transformation result could be as problem free as possible, and I hope you all like it.

 

Let's start with a bit of details on the model enhancements:

Note that at the time of the screenshot, revision was only #63 :D Now it's gone up to 70.

The overall body shape is as identical to the official body as it can get with limited number of vertices

I've also reshaped the underboob/chest area to make it smoother to resemble that of her official body

As part of this update, I also put in a fix to address an issue with collision transfer that does not always work.  It was particularly noticeable with Mai since her hair would go right through her head as pictured below.  This has been addressed.

During testing, however, I noticed some bizarre behavior in regards to the collision transfer functionality - some clothing pieces can go through bodies when collision transfer is enabled as pictured below:

An easy solution is to uncheck the collision transfer check box and try again:

A general rule of thumb is that, when transforming characters that already has long hair, "automatic collision transfer" is not normally needed, but I've left it checked as default as it does not seem to do any harm in most situations, but if you observe strange collision/physics with skirts/tails/neck ties and so on, please try the transformation again with it unchecked and the issue should go away.

 

There *may* still be some issues with Mai's hair going through her head, but I've done some more testing and it seems to only be the case for a select few outfits.  Please let me know if you have any issues as it may have to be addressed on a case by case basis.    Unchecking "Automatic Collision Transfer" can fix the "hair thru head" issue in most cases.

 

Another fix to the tool is the auto population of drop down boxes - the tool would populate duplicate entries when it is confused about what the TMC is for.  For instance, if the TMC contains multiple character names or none at all.  It has also been addressed.

Please note that Mai has a very special requirement for textures/file size it seems.  Some times the transformed model would be stuck on the infinite loading screen - if this happens, try replacing the normal map (blue texture) with a smaller one (such as her default official one) or you can try replacing things such as dirt texture.   I think the size has to come down to a certain level in order to load in game.  Please keep this in mind!

My apologies - during some more testing I realized I may have checked in wrong code to cause erroneous collision behavior.  A new version has been uploaded, but no version number is updated.  Please make sure to download again if your download does not have the same time stamp as pictured below:

MAI BIRTHDAY SUIT HIGH LEVEL OF DETAIL EDITION

 

Per a lot of users' requests, I decided to put together a high level of detail (high polygon count - subdivision surface) model pack for Mai for you guys to play with.    It is based on my Mai Birthday Suit V2.1 model, so it should, in theory, be identical in shape and form.  With the subdivision surface method, however, there were some holes that I had to plug in Mai :bush: After a bit of hole plugging and neck seam fixing, which took a lot longer than turning the thing into high poly, I think the model is pretty much ready for fappy fans :D

 

Please note that the subdivision surface method does not appear to be the normal method that some others use, and as a result, the shape appears a bit more "natural" with unexpected curves in a few places which I think is a nice touch.

 

Here are some differences - note that the number of vertices has increased dramatically and, as a result, her breasts look much less jagged.

There is a very small bit of issue with her belly button and top of her ass (which is the nice touch I was talking about :D), but nothing too distracting.

Please note that some minor texture/seam issues might *occasionally* be visible, but I don't think it's too distracting and you are probably not looking at the right places if you notice these random seams.. :D

 

As a bonus, I've consulted with my Saafie and he agreed to let me unleash the power of 3D bush on my Mai model :D  I hope the wait is worth it!  I've customized her bush size to take into account of the fact that she runs around in a butt floss outfit, so she must regularly wax :bush:

VALENTINE OUTFIT BREAKABLE PACK (ALL 20 LADIES INCLUDED)

 

I decided to spend some time on updating the valentine breakable outfit to include a few enhancements and the addition of Mai.

 

As with the previous version, all of these characters are based on the modified Valentine Outfit that I made for Leifang which is then transformed to all other girls (that have valentine outfit and Naotora) with some post processing done to add the character specific items back to the outfits such as stockings for P4 and Honoka, necklaces for a few characters, high heels back to Nyotengu and so on and so forth.

 

Unfortunately, since this pack is an enhancement to the original pack, the issue shown below still persists, but I think it doesn't really get in the way of anything :D

Enhancements

- Mai has been added complete with her fans with stockings and heels :D

- Nyotengu's wings and her "weapons" have been added

- Earrings and accessories for characters whose default valentine outfits come with have been added

 

Known issues:

- Deformation and clipping issues inherited from the official model as pictured above

- Strange texture may be observed on the heart shape metal clips

 

The biggest addition this time of course is Mai.   Her model is basically transformed from P4's model (with stockings and fans) with the colors of Nyotengu which I find very sexy and it goes well with her fans.   Of course the moment I attempted to load the transformed model, I was hit with an infinite load issue.   As a work around, I had to half the size of the following textures: body normal map, all apron and ribbon texture and replace all of the "breakage effect" pieces with blank studs.   After a rather epic struggle, the model finally loads in game :D  So if you run into infinite loading, try to reduce sizes of your texture for Mai.

 

The model should have no weird clipping such as hair through head issue.

Unzip the file and drop the content into your AUTOLINK folder.  Please note that the Valentine outfits for Naotora and Mai are found under their first outfit in game (folder 01) since they do not have default valentine outfits.

 

This pack represents many hours of fixing clipping, gluing body parts together and staring at ladies' boobs.  Any feedback is welcome :D

Seems like I release a lot of crap lately and I have been busy fixing them up :D

 

I was hoping that you guys would be too busy looking at such smooth boobs and ass and not see any issues with joints, lol.   Anyway, with a high level of detail model such as Mai, joints are particularly painful since they get deformed when bent.     Well, I think I've come up with a bit of a hacky way to fix it by moving a few vertices around and setting UV coordinates to "hide" the problem vertices around the joints  (upper thigh and knee).

 

Below screenshots illustrate the problem and fix:

any way to make the transformer insert "Mai's Fan" into a new costume? say I wanted to make Marie C4 for Mai, but she loses the fans, and looks pretty dumb going hadouken with invisible projectiles lol.

 

With how sensitive Mai model is when it comes to getting it loaded in game, I don't think it is a good idea.  Some transformations already don't load without modfying/shrinking a few textures. 

 

Besides, adding and removing fans are simple with the current polygon tool suite available.    To get her to load, however, is usually quite involved.   For instance, I've had to shrink the valentine apron texture from 512x1024 to 256x512, shrink the normal map, shrink some other stuff and replace effect textures with place holders so Mai in her valentine outfit can load in game.
