CTD when Fast Travelling or some Load Doors

Ok, putting this in the right section now:

 

Ok, I've returned to Oblivion, but I now have a problem, certain fast travel or load doors are causing CTDs consistently.

I first noticed this on trying to enter the Arcane University, then all attempts to leave Cheydinhal and one test attempt to fast travel to Vilverin.

Looking at similar crash reports it looks like the probable problem is load order or incompatible mods, so could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

First I have not checked your Load order, many Mods i don't know.

Are you shure you can use all Versions ? not only one ?

Now to your Problem: Have you cleaned all esp ? (TES4Edit)  all DLCs are unclean.

 

Do you use TES4LODGen ? you must run it again if you have changed your Load order, or the distant view is messed up and the game crashes if you get near a messed up area ( almost every fast-Travel crashes the game )

I'm pretty sure I did (it was a while ago though).

I can't remember, so I ran it.

 

Unfortunately, in trying other things to fix it I have rather fucked my install - I've fixed the crashing issue, but I've nuked all the buildings!

 

Attempting to re-build the bashed patch gives 'out of memory' errors, even though the memory monitor shows it using about half available memory at most.

 

I think I'm going to have to play some else for a while, then, maybe, re-install.
