CTD when loading save, endless loading when moving cells.

So, I've always had trouble loading up saves when I have all the sexlab stuff installed. What I usually have to do is start a new game and then load my save, or load a very early in the game save, and then load my save.

Recently, I deleted skyrim off my computer for some reason or another. This was an idiotic decision, as I just redownloaded it a week later. I installed all my nexus mods, made sure it worked, downloaded all the LL mods, and got to playing. Unfortunately, I can go through 3-4 cells before I get an infinite loading screen, and when I try to load the save I made right before going to the new cell, my game just CTDs. I've changed load order, deactivated stuff, looked at the logs (which are the longest I've ever seen), ran BOSS and LOOT, but I still have the same problems. Anyway, my load order and 0 log are attached since I don't know how to do spoilers.

I have the same problem and never found a solution.

 

for infinit/freezing load, SafetyLoad solved that for me, but not the crash, and I use the same "trick" as you: load an early save then load my final save.

 

I guess it depends of the quantity of mods you are using, I know I have a lot

Ok, so I've got 3 tests, unfortunately, nothing changed. 

The first test (papyrus log 2) was with just Mia's Lair deactivated, loaded my save #12 (worked) and attempted to enter Helgen castle (infinite load)

The second (papyrus log 1) was with Mia's Lair and CD deactivated, loaded my save #12 (worked) and attempted to enter Helgen castle (infinite load)

 

The third (papyrus log 0) time was the same as the second, but this time I loaded save #13, where I'm about 200-300 feet farther than save #12, upon loading, the screen went black and skyrim was unresponsive. This has happened every time I've loaded this save, even if I start a new game and then load it, when it hasn't crashed.

I should mention that I forgot to run FNIS every time, but that shouldn't effect the loading and whatnot.

Right, so I ran FNIS, and tried test #1 again, and it crashed upon loading.

I then started a new game, and there's no more infinite loading, it just takes forever. I then quit skyrim, and tried loading up that new save, and It worked. So it appears that it's mostly fixed, but my load times are still ludicrously long.

 

I should mention that my 1st memory block topped out at 238 in the first with-FNIS test.

make sure u have new XPMSE

and make sure it's loaded at the bottom

the esp and the files in mod organizer make sure nothing is overwritten

also test the game without captured dreams i had this problem u know ...

ctd right on starting on live another life cell saves get mad somehow and couldn't load

it all been fixed just by removing captured dreams i dunno really what it conflicts with but u have

similar mod list as mine take a look it had captured dreams and i removed it

I've got the most recent XPMSE. The infinite loads are back. And disabling captured dreams doesn't seem to do anything.

I'm having the same problem, that is every attempt to load any save crashes. I've had it where saves get bugged before, but even if I start a new game save and then load that save it crashes. The papyrus file is too big for me to even post here in spoilers, do I need to just bite the bullet and do a complete re-install?

I've researched this problem quite comprehensively and unfortunately if your Skyrim is heavily modded there may be no solution. A lot of times i know people that start a new game each time and then load their last saved game because most saves have issues in that they wont load through the start menu seamlessly, the game itself is stable with minimal to no CTDs (once in game) and the saves are by no means are bloated or corrupt but that doesnt prevent a CTD on Load through the main menu.

 

I remember seeking help from some really experienced modders but didnt get me anywhere.

Many of you don't know how to use tes5edit or what to do with loot and notes it give.

 

Use all latest updated version also don't use to many scripted mods make sure its all compatible.

 

To many NPC mods or followers could crash your system latest SKSE is not miracle worker you still have make sure its not all to much to many.

 

Plenty of guides out there to learn to mods your game.

Yeah I was afraid I might have to do that. Oh well, this is a chance to do it right from step one I guess. Are there any good guides for completely uninstalling Skyrim?
