Hey guys, i just upgraded my pc from windows 7 to windows 10 and now it says "skyrim is not working" when i start the game, i dont even get to see the bethesda logo. however when i remove the d3d9.dll from my enb everything works. i have updated graphiccard driver and i tried downloading directx 9 files but it didnt help either. i also tried some other enbs but its always the same.

I use win10 for 3 month for now, and the only trouble with Bethesda's games was Fallout 3 crashing on startup (till buld 10130 was released). Skyrim always worked fine with d3d9.dll and d3dx9_42.dll. The problem possibly caused by upbrading instead of clean install, it always f*cks something up ;[

If it's for ENB and not SweetFX, use the injector version.

If it's for SweetFX:
1) Download ENB

2) Open the archive and navigate to the injector version

3) copy ENBhost.exe, enblocal.ini, and enbinjector.exe to your skyrim folder

4) Rename d3d9.dll to SweetFX.dll

5) Open enblocal.ini

6) Set enableproxylibrary=true

7) two lines down where it says "other_d3d9.dll" change that to "SweetFX.dll"

8) Run the injector before you play :)

I'm running win 10 upgrade with the proxy version of enb. Never had a problem. The injector is really mostly for laptops and really low end cards. So if it crashes, what shows up in the event log with regards to the error?
