Aluminium Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Honestly at a loss here. Tried installing manually and via ModManager, checked Overwrite folder - nothing. Same old ugly textures in-game even though they are supposed to have been replaced and thus non-existent. Plox halp.
Anatriax Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 What textures are you talking about? Your information is quite vague. The more details you give us about your setup, what mods you're using, and how you've installed them? The more we will be able to help
randomtguy Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Is it your first time modding the game? If so have you backdated BSAs in the workarounds tab of Mod Organizer's settings menu?
Aluminium Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 @Anatriax My bad, didn't specify technical stuff because there are no .esp`s - the textures in question are Sexlab sperm replacer (3dm one) which used to work perfectly on the previous install, so I don't see how can it be different this time and what could be so special about this particular mod. Now it doesn't work, nor does any other replacer ('Alternative' or something) and simply deleting the files in the respective folder makes them stop working ingame, so they have to be coming from somewhere. If it helps I use ModOrganizer and a separate profile for anything Sexlab related, the others being for Requiem and SkyRe. I tried making a new profile just for the test and no, the new textures don't appear there as well. Ironically, .esp mods installed during this time worked just fine. @randomtguy Believe it or not, it's not the first time. I just never delved deep into it. As for backdating, I did (to no avail), but since these textures weren't initially in the game I don't believe backdating BSAs affects anything.
gvman3670 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Did you make sure the new textures was below SL (and other SL mods) in the left pane? If not then that's your problem.
Aluminium Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Being the last mod currently installed it's in the very bottom. But again, besides MO there was a manual install.
Anatriax Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Do you have Automatic Archive Invalidation turned on for your profile?
Aluminium Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Yup, on all of them. You know, I had the same problem with meshes, but then the problem turned out to be with an executable. Now there are no .exe or .esp files.
Anatriax Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 It's not really an "all of them" thing. You open up the profile manager, tick the box, and it's turned on. No need to change it.
Aluminium Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Well, it was initially turned off on the "Default" one.
gvman3670 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 You should be able to unzip the texture replacer in one window and open /ModOrganizer/mods/SexLabFramework/textures/ in another then copy/paste the new ones into the MO folder. You could try that if nothing else works. And if it messes up just tell MO to reinstall the SLFramework.
Aluminium Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 It already says in the respective folder inside MO that the textures depend on the mod, thus in theory they should be inside the game if run from MO. Yet they aren't, so I guess I'll try that if truly nothing works.
Anatriax Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Look at the file structure for the mod that adds the texture from the ORIGINAL archive. NOT in MO. THENGo to the data tab (right pane) of MO, follow that file structure, and see if it's showing that mod contributing the textures. IF it is showing that it is indeed contributing the textures 1) Disable Automatic Archive Invalidation 2) Close MO 3) Open MO 4) Turn Automatic Archive Invalidation back on5) Star the game to check and make sure the textures are there. If it is NOT contributing the files in the data tab, then you've installed the mod improperly. Reinstall with the proper file structure.
Aluminium Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Anatriax, just so you know, you're the best. It worked!
