Creating really glossy armors

I learned from @yatol last night that I can make the skin very shiny with specular strength on the body nif.

I am a really big fan of this look. Is it also the same process for armor? I don't mind if it looks plastic, to me it looks great.

Currently I use SkyRealism for my armors to make them really shiny. But I'm looking to make other armors shiny too.

You can change the alpha channel on the armors normal map to solid white and the armor will shine like latex.

Thanks for your super fast response. Sorry for my stupid question, but how do I change the alpha channel to #fffff?

Well, not sure how it works in gimp,(never used that) but in photoshop i just select the alpha channel layer, and hit Ctrl + Backspace with white as my background color.

if that don't work in gimp i guess you could just use the fill tool, or simply paint over the whole thing with a brush tool.
