so as i was moving pics from my phone (galaxy s4) to my pc i noticed that when i tried to open them with any image viewer program or even paint/paint.net it would say error. but when i clicked open with -> google chrome it opened just fine np.

does someone know how this kind of thing is fixed since i would not want to be forced to use google chrome to view pics :/

What file type?

.jpeg and .jpg

.png and .gif seem to work fine

also its totally random like some .jpeg and .jpg files are fine but then other ones are not.

could they corrupt someway when i transfer them or something?

I don't know about getting corrupted. Can't you open them from your phone to see if they work before transferring them to pc?

I mean open them with your phone plugged in as if it were a flash drive. Open them with your PC's default picture viewer.

Maybe it's your image viewer that's screwed. Try reinstalling it. Or use another one. I use Irfanview for years and I love it. Only has like 3MB or something.
