bigglebojiggle Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 I'm not sure that this would really qualify as needing technical assistance, I just need to see if anybody can spot if Ive made a mistake when trying to make my follower. I'll list the steps I've done below... Open Creation Kit and chose Skyrim and Update. I created a new actor by right clicking and choosing new. Under traits my race is NordRace and my disposition is 75, Voice Type is MaleSoldier. I've selected essential and unique on the left. Under stats I chose PC Level Multi and set all the offsets to 50, Class is CombatWarrior1H. Under faction I chose current follower and set it to -1, then I chose Potential Follwer and Potential Marriage Factions and set them to 0. Under Relationship I have the Parent option selected as the id of my new NPC, Child is Player, and relationship level is Ally. Under AI Data I have Aggression set as Aggressive, Confidence is Brave, Assistance is Helps Friends and Allies, Morality is Any Crime, Combat Style is DefaultCombatStyle. I chose my followers inventory, its Studded Armor, a Steel Sword and a Hide Shield. I've imported the face and saved the character correctly. Finalkly I placed him in Breezehome. So when I start the game, he is in BreezeHome, hes wearing what I want him to wear, he has the face I made, his voice is what I chose, but I do not get any dialogue options when I try to talk to him. So I must have made a mistake somewhere but I have no idea what it is, Ive tried making it by running Creation Kit through Mod Organizer and by running it on its own. Any ideas?
JRCosta Posted July 27, 2015 Posted July 27, 2015 You are using a voice type that won't give you follower options. Change his voice type to something like EvenToned or YoungEager.

Oh lord is it really something that simple??! Thank you, I have to leave for a job interview in a few minutes but I'll give that a try when I get back. Would it be the same thing for female followers? Thanks again!

bigglebojiggle Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 Well, I had some luck as far as getting dialogue options and stuff, I cant believe it was the voice option. Creation Kit seems to not want to export the head data so my character has a grey face often times. I was using Enhanced Character Edit, it seemed to work ok except for a neck seam, I used Race Menu 3.2 and CK changed my face. Do I have to just use the default race menu?
JRCosta Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 The CK don't export the facegendata? Make sure you are in Actors branch on the left panel, then CTRL-F4, and you should get two dialogue boxes, one asking if you want to export the face data of selected actors, and another informing the export done. Or are you getting another issue where the export is done but the face/body mismatch still occur?
