littleman Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Hey there, I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not there is a player town mod? What I mean is, a mod that lets the player own a town, hire guards, hire store owners etc, cause I had several mods that adds custom capes, music, armors that give a medieval feel to the game and have been wanting to own my own town for some time, (with "my own" coat of arms so to speak) Also, the MiC mod, which is a usic overhual for oblivion is pretty awesome, I have removed most of the canon music in place of it.

[/quote'] The closest I can find are the Castle Seaview mods. The first adds a castle of your own. The Second adds a small village to the area, docks, farms, etc. Don't know if it's a FULL town but it's a start. http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=25574 http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=38366 I'll keep looking because I could swear I've seen a whole town mod for the player. Peace, Pyre
littleman Posted March 29, 2012 Author Posted March 29, 2012 Those look really nice, I'll download them and test them out, the idea of a real time economy that the farms mod boasts is something im looking for Thanks. As for mods, I know the fallout series had a mod like that, just not sure if Oblivion does I had searched but Nexus can be a bit hard to navigate through, and the really really really good mods are normally hosted elsewhere.
Guest Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 The idea is an awesome one, unfortunately besides seaview, I don't think there are any others. I remember seeing a thread on the nexus forums and the peeps there were planning such a mod, but I don't think it was ever made.
PyreBorn Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I looked all over for a suitable replacement for Real Time Settler that works for Oblivion, but no luck. I did run into a few mods that may help a little. Here are some more I found: http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15998 ALTShack. From what I read you can build a house anywhere. http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=4703 Imperial Furniture. Lets you buy and place furniture. *Note* I haven't tried any of these, so I'm not sure if they work all that well ...If I can find anymore I'll post some links, because I know I've seem a few. If I'm not mistaken there are a few that let you rebuild some towns. The idea is an awesome one' date=' unfortunately besides seaview, I don't think there are any others. [/quote'] Yeah I saw one called Evolving Society/Vox Populi or something like that. Seemed like all it needed was someone to add everything together. But the last update was 2010 I believe I've found a few for Skyrim...but Oblivion not so much. *Edit* Kvatch Rebuilt http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=15412 Allows you to do a quest to rebuild the city and possibly become the Count or Countess
Poontank Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 There is a newer version of 'Imperial Furniture' with more and better stuff - 'Imperial Furniture Renovated': http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=33996 If someone has the previous version already installed and lots of items placed, the mod can be upgraded with a patch provided in the file list. By upgrading, the placed objects/furniture won't disappear.
Guest Deliria Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 If I remember correctly, the Kvatch Rebuilt mod has an option that allows you to become the Count/Countess of the rebuilt city after you've been on quests to rebuild it, but that's the closest thing I can think of.
DogOnPorch Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=34726 Chorrol Plateau allows you to build a farm + manor over time. [video=youtube]
