Body texture issues

So, I did sift through alot of threads about similair issues, but didn't find anything that worked.

My problem is the hips, (and the breasts totaly have an issue too) I tried the cbbe fix, didn't change anything, made sure the skyrim.ini and the default version of it have the HD bsa files listed properly, don't have the HD .esp files in the data folder.

Can't think of what I haven't tried, I attached a screenshot of the issue, hope someone can help!

Which outfit mod is that? Is it a body mesh/texture replacer or does it add standalone items? Are you using CBBEv3 for Mjoll? Sorry for all the questions, but they will help narrow down the problem. ;)

Its an outfit from castle ank, the problem is with any armor that shows skin though. And yes, I'm pretty sure using cbbe3 as thats the body mod I have installed, it doesn't just happen to her either.

Are you having this issue with outfits from other mods as well or just ANK Castle's? What version of ANK Castle are you using? Are you using the Curvy, Slim, or Vanilla version of CBBE? If you're not using the vanilla type, you have to download the correct, matching hip fix.

To narrow this down further, try this:

If you used the NMM, deactivate CBBE. If you manually installed, delete all the meshes and textures that you installed from the CBBE archive. Go in-game and check if the hip texture is missing from the base vanilla body. Next, download and install CBBEv2 (not v3) and try the outfit on again.

If you still have issues, deactivate/delete CBBEv2 and download CBBEv3 again. If you originally used curvy bodies, try installing slim this time (or vice-versa). Overwrite with the correct hip fix and check in-game.

In the meantime, I'll download ANK Castle v4 and see if I have the same issues.

I did a little more testing, and I think it may be an issue with the castle ank outfits, I don't have very many outfits that show hip and chest otherwise, but I'll see if I can find some to test.

Its odd though, I'm using cbbe 3, and castle ank 4 (I did clean install of full version) is supposed to support cbbe 3 primarily.

Have you done any ini edits? I have the same problem and it started after I added a pile of ultra tweaks , things like advanced reflectivity and water translucent settings.

At first I thought it might be enb but I think the transparency is still there, only its harder to see...

Ah, so you're using the latest version. I've installed ANK Castle v4 and the outfit looks fine on Lydia, with the exception of hands/feet:

I'm using CBBEv3 with Curvy bodies, so the issue is not the outfit then. Are you using Patch 1.5 by chance? I've read that it can cause a lot of misc issues with mods.

1.5 here as well, not running the castle mod but still have transparent parts on armor. That pic above is just a mismatched body mesh, not related to the transparency bug. It happens on mountains as well, you can see parts of the LOD sometimes behind a hill or whatever you're running across..

The problem with OP is that you're running curvy but wearing a UNP armor/cloth set. It'll do that, known issue, and totally to be expected.

When I looked at OP's pic, I see the transparency bug, you can see the back of the underwear through the skin. That's the problem I need to fix.

what body mods are you using ?

because it looks like you are using

a UNP or TNT body texture

or a mod that alters the body UVmap

Posted

I am using 1.5.

Its nothing related to UNP, castle ank clothing is optimized for cbbe 3 (or so the thread says)

Weather you like it or not, that screencap is of a CBBE body in a UNP armor. It's also likely you're running a modded female skeleton.

Taken from this thread:

╋╋╋╋╋╋╋ FAQ ╋╋╋╋╋╋╋

1. About CBBE body.

Not using CBBE body does not necessarily cause CTD, you can use UNP, or even some body with bouncing breasts.

But, if not using CBBE and you try to put on clothes we made for it, strange things will happen, and there might be CTDs.

The author states that the outfits are mainly for CBBE bodies. Envy and I are using the same body and outfit, but why should his/hers look buggy?

I'm going to blame patch 1.5 for the time being, and I suggest downgrading to version 1.4.27 if it's possible at all.

Envy, so you have NO body mods installed is that correct ?

even if Ank Castle clothing is optimized for cbbe 3,

if you dont have a CBBE body mod installed

the game will use the default UVmap.

CBBE uses its own textures and UVmap

He has a stray mesh someplace, an old install, something is altering the body. But one thing is certain, that screencap is a UNP armor set in a CBBE body. I don't care what the FAQ says. That castle has as many bugs as a Bethesda product.

'nuff said.

I uninstalled and reinstalled cbbe v3, using default settings and still having this issue, the hips doesn't bother me as much as the chest, dunno what I'm missing.

The only thing UNP related in my install is yiitek's ashen, and the werepyre race from nexus, both have seperate bodys from the main installed body, but I'm not worried about how the armor looks on my char, but its a big deal for companions.

Then I don't know. I ran into the same issue and I'm certain it was because I was trying to cram a CBBE body into a UNP armor. I eventually deleted the /female/ folder entirely and re-installed CBBE and a texture. Realized later I had a UV map, a custom skeleton and a custom head installed. Surprised it all looked human, to be honest.

As for Ank Castle, I've followed that closely on the 3DM forum and what I can tell you is that you basically have a rag-tag group assembling a very complex mod, some are in Japan, some are in Korea, all hosting on a Chinese website - all using Google translate to communicate. Now you tell me there aren't gonna be fuckups with all of that going on... I deleted it. Sure, it's fun, but it's easier - and safer - to just rip the parts I want out of it and install them myself.

As for the transparency, it's something Beth borked in 1.5. It's related to the refraction index and gloss maps - but I'm not exactly sure how to fix it. The core dump I did was outrageous, it produced a ini that was almost 50k!!! I'm still reading through it. :+

So, I figured out what the issue is, its futanarium. After figuring that out, I proceeded to paste the appropriate cbbe meshes/textures into the futanarium folders, and textures look much better, but body mesh still is somehow wrong.

I guess simplest solution will be to just turn futanarium off, but it boggles my mind as to what its doing to cause this.

So, apparently the issue is custom races, and scripts, in case anyone ever has a similar issue.
