This attack speed thing...

Hello boys, i'm trying to make a follower that attacks with claws or some shit like that so i want her to use the unarmed combat animation while using the badass claws i found in the nexus (i'm a noob so i can't link posts).

The claws are not weapons but hand armor and that's preventing me from increase it's attack speed (i wanted to make a perma elemental fury or something like that, crap).

The only lead i've got is to create a race for her and increase it's base unarmed attack speed, but so far i haven't been able to find that value in attack or combat data so i'm pretty much stuck.

Also, it is possible to change a weapon's attack animation?, i'm asking because i could maybe take some random daggers and change it's model and textures so it looks like the claws, but the dagger animation would look weird (like she's hurting the enemy with air).

Any suggestion or idea would be very much appreciated.

ahem..

If anyone else stumbles into this topic trying to do the same thing here's how to:

 

equip your badass claws as gaundlets as normal, then take some random daggers or swords or some shit like that and copy them, then edit them and go to the "art and sound" tab, search for the animation box and change anim type to handtohandmelee (they'll still be considered as weapons, but use the unarmed animation style) and of course delete both the model and 1st person model of it so it won't get in the way of your swaggtastic claws, then enchant some piece of armor with a badass attack speed buff and you're ready to punch the living shit out of Alduin before he even notices what's going on.
