Save Crash

Just started happening and i havent installed any new mods

Doesnt matter if i quicksave or manual save it still happens, i can load fine though

Have you updated a mod.. I had a problem with the Unofficial patches and an old save. Heard that a few others had that as well.

 

could be your save is just corrupted or damaged .. it happens. With Bethesda games.. it is a requirement that you save often.

Your using NMM? .. Someone yesterday had some strange thing happening (CTD) and the normal tech support stuff wouldn't work. It ended up he had some problems with his game files. Verify Cache worked

Quick easy try that shouldn't mess with your game's mod files . You will have to reclean the main files again.

This worked for me:

1. Load an older save (one that doesn't have CTD on save issue)
2. Create a NEW hard save (through pause menu, to new slot)
3. Type in console command: player.kill
--- during the death animation --- 4. Load your latest save (the one that has CTD issue)
5. Type in console command: player.kill
--- let the game autoload (it will load your save from #4 above) ---
6. Try saving (I usually just use quicksave)

You should now be able to save normally and continue on with your game.
 

This apparently does not work for everyone. Give it a try.
