squall1151 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Hello im wondering if i can put skyrim modded on an usb connect external hard drive. I was thinking of pluing the hard drive in via usb and installing skyrim on it then i can remove it and play it again when ever i feel like it. I dont have much room left on the main hard drives so i was thinking this will sort it, but i also want to mod the hell out of it and use mod manger im not sure what one it is, but its one manager you can have 2 diffrent lots of mods on. any advice and help would be greatfull. aslo the drive is 250gb so loads of room.
Anatriax Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Theoretically yes. Would I suggest it? No. I wouldn't. The slow speeds of USB connections will greatly decrease your performance.
winny257 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 it is very simple, if you want to do once from Skyrim a break, then copying the complete data folder to an external hard drive. I make Incidentally also so,but also because I with mods experimenting a lot, as a backup copy!if something goes wrong, so my game is destroyed, then I delete only the Data folder and replace it with my backup copy. it's better than a new installation.I have more than 1,600 gigabytes of collected mods on an external hard drive.
