Spyder Arachnid Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 So I'm trying to get MTUI to work with oHUD. The description says it is compatible, yet when I install it, I see none of the effects of MTUI in my interface or in conversations. I'm using UIO like it states, and installing MTUI before oHUD, and it is detecting MTUI, but I don't have the clean small interface and nicer text in game. I've always had this issue every time I've played FNV, but it finally got to me today and figured maybe you guys could help me solve it and figure out what I'm doing wrong. I know MTUI is probably outdated and not the suggested thing to use, but I just like how it looks. So any help would be appreciated. (screenshot from the MTUI page on how it should look)
BruceWayne Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 If you don't have a problem with small text, use DarnUI instead: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1131897-wipzbeta-darnified-ui-nv/ It's compatible with all of those mods you list above (and pretty much everything else as well). It requires you to make a couple of changes in the .ini, but after that, it's install and forget. Edit: Should have read the whole post. Regardless, you can choose different fonts to make it look like MTUI as well.
Spyder Arachnid Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Sounds good. I've been out of the loop for awhile now, so probably should try new things. Thanks for the suggestion. Doing a fresh reinstall at the moment, and going to give it a go. EDIT: Oh yeah, definitely liking DarnUI more. Thanks for the tip!
BruceWayne Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Just an fyi, I may have given you an out of date link. I just checked, and I use v04 and the version in the link is v02. It's been so long since I installed it. http://www.moddb.com/games/fallout-new-vegas/addons/darnified-ui-v04
Spyder Arachnid Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 Yeah I made sure to pick up the version 4 one from the description page of oHUD. Thanks though.
