delthius Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 i'm just curious, but has anyone tried making a sexlab overhaul for skyrim like requiem or perkus? not just something that adds sex and quite a few fun things to the game but completely integrates it into the game and also revamps how certain things work so that the "alternative" option tends to not only be the better one but is also more rewarding. this has been on my mind for a while since my game keeps crashing or the mods i get from here don't always work with full consistency(hence how it got on my mind in the first place) and i thought, "instead of having a bunch of sex mods, why not one great big overhaul that combines all of them together and integrates them into the game for complete stability?" though i do realize that this would be rather large, just wondering if anyone else had the same thought

delthius Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 thanks, that actually ended up answering my question and the conversation wound its way right into my own intention of just taking a ton of the currently existing mods and making one big thing out of it, i'm not sure how easy it is(probably not at all) or how long it'll take(quite a while most likely) but at least it's been brought up and there's a topic for it...somewhat(i don't know if the forum is mainly about him getting ideas for a bunch of mods or for integrating all of them so i'll leave it as that) I'm not really much of a "forum" person so i didn't look too hard but i did spend about 15 minutes looking before creating this thread and didn't find that one at all...i may need to work on my search methods or keywords

The thread is about a guy taking requests. Currently he's working on two mods with opposite effects (one where you suffer incremental penalties for wearing devious devices over time and the other where over time you gain reprieve from their negative effects due to getting used to them) so I'd say integrating everything isn't on his to do list.
delthius Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 well, it is possible, just have it be an MCM option in the menu and remind the user to not have both active or make it so that they can't have both active, but i don't know how hard that is and my idea is more along the lines of combining that with about 60-80 mods minimum to create one mod that spans more or less everything, i'm not just talking about the mods here, i'm also including nexus mods, and if i have to i have no problem formally learning programming just to create a single overhaul that combines basically every mod i want to use into one and then some, but that will take a lot of work and i don't think having a game spanning overhaul as an introductory project to be a very good idea...and since it would end up being a hobby i'd probably only work on it when i have nothing to do and since it would be amatuer quality i don't think uploading it would be too viable...though it does still give me ideas of getting started and still combining quite a bit as a groundwork and if anyone more experienced and/or interested they could take it from there...though i'd still need to know where to start and rather than using sexlab to make the mods work i'd more or less have to make that the foundation and integrate it into everything else...i have no idea how my mind got to this point but about 40% of it is currently panicking, another 40% is optimistic and smiling a bit wryly at the previous 40%, and the remaining 20% just wants my anime and manga to update already...i have a weird mind apparently

If you have any feedback or ideas you'd like in it please drop a reply in that crazy thread of mine, makes it easier for me to find 'em all.
delthius Posted July 17, 2015 Author Posted July 17, 2015 yeah, i took a look, and i read the 3 most recent pages worth of posts and although a similar idea was brought up it wasn't quite what i had in mind, but i'm still keeping an eye on that thread, if i do have any ideas or applications i want to see i'll go ahead and post them there
