CTD on starting a new game

So I finally decided to get back into the wonderful world of Skyrim over the past week, downloaded and installed a large amount of mods, and had it working fairly stable for a while.

However now that I am attempting to start a new game....

 

I get through the usual loading screen, see the same tips and crap, but then once its loaded, I get the usual fading from black....

then bam, it'll crash out of nowhere

Any idea as to the cause, or better yet a solution?

Not much information. What mod manager do you use?

 

First impression is that your loadorder is messed up. Get LOOT and let it order your files. LOOT (or your modmanager) should tell you warnings if any dependencies for your installed mods are missing.

Could also be a problem loading the environment, does this happen if you load a save inside a cell?

Too much "Spouces Enhanced"-related script spam at the end... check its support topic, think there was a fix for that. Doubt it's the reason, but won't hurt in any case.

Are you getting to the main menu? Where it says load save, new game, etc?

Okay

I can get to the main menu, it crashes after a loading screen when choosing new game

 

i have tried using a save from my friend's un-modded game, that also crashed (she was in riverwood trader)

 

I use nmm, and i have used LOOT

No errors, the standard warnings about a couple mods which dont need cleaned but that's it

 

 

-EDIT-

 

So i disabled my Patchus Maximus to test out if the game would load without Spouses Enhanced

Low and behold, with only deactivating the patch, i can now load into the game world.
