PROBLEM SOLVED: Sexlab mystery error

Recommended Posts

Went through all recommended procedures to remedy my issue.  The papyrus was insanely long.  It  posted tons of mods I'd used in the past that I wasn't using.  With a "clean" install, that shouldn't be a problem, right?  I just noticed that I'd missed a couple folders and decided to reinstall.  Hopefully that will take care of it.

Everything seems to be working except for the "O" key alternating the animations for S-Lab Framework.  Past two or three installs it hasn't been working all of a sudden.  I end up only using two or three animations out of my list of 125.  I'm pretty familiar with using TESVEdit and LOOT.  Everything seems to be in order.  This has never been an issue before.  The only thing I've updated that seems to be present in every install is SKSE 1.7.3  instead of 1.7.2.  Would that even matter?

I would like to think that as long as I wiped out everything in Skyrim, all should be well.  I'll be doing another papyrus log soon to see what comes up.  Just thought I'd ask.  Maybe someone knows something about this.  I'd really appreciate some help on this, thanks.

If you are using the newest version of the ZAZ animation pack, there seems to be an issue where it won't let someone change animations (gets locked into one).  There is a option to turn off animation swapping - it's in the ZAZ MCM, under the sexlab section.  Take a look in the ZAZ thread and there should be some more info.  Not sure if it's ZAZ alone causing this or in relation to another mod (Devious Devices possibly).  Anyway, check that thread.

If you don't have the newest ZAZ installed - well, shit, I don't know then...

a clean install is not needed if you just get worried about papyrus messages from unistalled mods you have to either clean your savegame or start a new game/savegame the script status is saved in the savegame not the data files.

Thats the reason you should make a clean save when updating mods otherwise you just continue with script instances that might get stuck

Anyway if you dont use all your animations did you checked if they are tagged right? do they even show up in the sexlab animations tab (mcm)?

If you cant use animations, but they are there I'm quite sure they are not tagged correct so they have no chance to trigger.

With what mod did you test if you can use the animations in the game?

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/2018-sexlab-tools-v10/is really nice for that purpose when you have sex you can simply push H and you get listed all animations that are available and can switch trough and change stages tags etc.

You guys are awesome!  Thank you for the responses.  Seriously helps a ton and I feel much better about the situation.  It was driving me nuts.  I think the Zaz update could be it.  I just recently started to use it and it sounds exactly like what's going on.  Thanks Srayesmanll.

That feature for the H key sounds good.  Checking that out ASAP.  Thanks Deoxyrbouncleic.

If you have the newest Defeat version (5.1.0), you should have the list ability as well (same author, and I know you can use that feature on NPC/NPC scenes).  I believe he added that in for D5.1.0.  Although D5.1.0 seems to have it's owns issues, so maybe the mod Deoxyrbouncleic linked is the better alternative for now.

You were right. I was already installing the game again when I made this post and sure enough, I didn't add the Zaz patch 6.06 and all is well.  All the animations are working just fine.  You really saved me a lot of frustration trying to figure that one out.  Thanks again.
