Proposed/I-need-help-with creating a Beeing Female add-on

I wrote this on the Beeing Female thread:

 

I had an idea for a plug-in and wanted to gauge peoples' interest.

 

Now there are some races like vanilla vampires/werewolves or loverslab succubii/beastess (though I'm thinking primarily succubus) that might be considered sterile. Now, other mods like soul gem oven handle the birth of a soul gem and succubii might not actually want kids anyway, so I wanted to explore the idea of something a little more special/unique.

 

Now what that would be is still nebulous (a demi-daedra soul gem similar to azura's star that requires incubation (charges partially with each sex, but can be reused or whatever), a lust crystal that permanently increases stats, or whatever), but I figure succubii/supernatural creatures should still have a strong incentive to make it to birth (avoid chausrus attacks based on the estrus chaurus plug in etc.).

 

Realistically, the baby could be replaced by anything that gives a significant advantage (a reward for enduring the long cycle, as these races are often inherently selfish) and there could even be a small chance of birthing an abomination that triggers a slay quest (probably to be implemented much later).

 

Whatever the case, most of the supernatural humanoids couldn't be bothered by bringing a child to term so I naturally thought a megalomaniacal alternative might be in order.

 

 

Presently I have no modding skills and am not sure where I'd start. As such I figured I'd float the idea and let someone claim it if they want, just so the thing actually has a chance of happening. I'd be willing to pitch in whenever I could and definitely be willing to learn, should someone want to guide me. Whatever the case, cheers for Beeing Female. What a great mod

Seeing as there wasn't (or at least hasn't yet been) any interest, I figure I might give it a go myself. First off, for a first mod, on a scale of doable to too ambitious, how hard would it be?

 

I'm thinking I just rip the code that allows for birthing options and clone it to create a new custom option. Again, I'm very new at this, so any help or even a pointer in the right direction would be great.

 

Alternatively, if anyone wants to adopt this project, I'd be more than happy to step into a support role. Cheers!

Good choice. But please, re-format your post. It's very hard to find what you are actually trying to achieve since it's all written in one block.

 

While being a simple user with no modding skill what so ever, I just would like to add that you maybe shouldn't focus your project stricktly on "Being female" - since there are several procreation mods, you might find a like minded person in other areas of this community.

 

Just my 2 cents - good luck for your idea.

While being a simple user with no modding skill what so ever, I just would like to add that you maybe shouldn't focus your project stricktly on "Being female" - since there are several procreation mods, you might find a like minded person in other areas of this community.

Fixed the formatting to an extent. As far as making something non-beeing female specific, I suppose that's an option, but I was trying to choose something specific as to limit the scope. Who knows, maybe it is easier to be more general. If someone with some experience takes an interest, I might be able to get somewhere. Thanks for the response!
