JRCosta Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Hello there. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this request, but I have bought Fallout: New Vegas in this latest Steam Summer Sale and now I've start adding mods last couple of days. I wonder if there is a tutorial like STEP for Skyrim, as I'm having some troubles so far to get things going. Thanks in advance.

JRCosta Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Hi! That was fast, and looks exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Riggswolfe Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 There is a specific Fallout NV Step guide called Fear and Loathing in New Vegas. Go to the step website, the forums, there is a subforum for it and the first topic is a feedback topic. There's a link to the guide in the first post of that topic.
JRCosta Posted June 22, 2015 Author Posted June 22, 2015 Good thing that you are. So far, lots of tools are similar to Skyrim (FNVEdit, LOOT, Wrye), but I'm more concern which mods worth getting. Already Installed Project Nevada, MTUI, NVSE. Nevada Skies, ENB (from enbdev only for now), MCM, Wasteland Flora Overhaul, EVE, NMC Texture Pack, UIO without an issue. Then I'm now getting an issue using JIP companions with a custom follower, probably will remove the JIP mod for now. Also I'm having trouble finding a good female preset for my char and haven't decided the body type to use (probably this one?) I'm getting CTD with FOMM, so for now I use NMM (I know, I know...) for most of install procedures. Had you played NV yourself? Any advice for a starter? Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 That's a good body replacer. There's also T6M that's a good choice because it covers most vanilla armor and there's also custom armor for it made by Izumiko himself and others. It also uses the same UV map as type3 so you can use any type3 textures around. As far as preset goes, there isn't many but there is Mojave Delight, Desert Succubus, Moonshadow Race if you want to be an elf. There's also Daughter of Ares if you are interested in being an android. Though, DoA doesn't have much options for armor but there are some on nexus for it including Izumiko's clothing who did the T6M. Most people tend to just create their own preset for personal use and showcase them on Nexus. Since there isn't really any advance Chargen features like ECE or RM for Skyrim.

I've had installed Mojave delight as a requirement for a NPC, but not any clothing/armor yet. I'm basically installing a mod, entering the game to see if works, saving, install, test... so this should take a while. The preset was just to have a good base to start of. There are some cute characters around, I suppose they are mostly based in the Mojave delight mods, right? Edit: Moonshadow Race looks awesome, should be the one. Thanks!
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Depends, people tend to use different face textures than the Mojave. The Mojave Delight uses Many Faces textures by Xazomn himself. So it depends. People usually go in GECK and morph the face (like I do) to try to accomplish a face they like. If not they'll use one of those popular race/preset mods. Creating a unique race is really easy for Fallout New Vegas. When you get used to it, you'll be making your own unique race so you can apply your own unique appearance to your character.

Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 You're welcome. Have fun in the Mojave. Oh yeah, there's also CWdolls race it's also elves. I don't remember where the download link is at. Might still be up around here somewhere.
Guest endgameaddiction Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Yep that's it. I believe there's elf ears you can equip with it. I think. I know I've seem some people use the preset with elf ears.
