Dialogue and game messages

Hello folks

 

I have been writing some dialogue and system messages for Sexout and trying to learn the GECK. Most of these have been pregnancy related, but not all. I am interested in getting some implemented if I can learn it, but either way I am working on getting stuff written and put on notepad. I don't want to keep derailing Halstrom's Pregnancy thread, and I don't have a download yet so posting here.

 

I suppose my question, then, is what might people be interested in. A lot of what I enjoy writing is pregnancy or pregnancy risk related, but I can look at expanding a bit. Also, if someone is interested in working with me on getting things implemented I'd be happy to do that.

 

 

Mostly I am putting this out to get it out there, get feedback (preferably not of the try not to suck so bad variety) and see if anyone wants to work with me on getting it in an esp, or if someone wants something for an esp. In the meantime I am still messing with the GECK but wanted to get more written for it, so here is, I suppose.

 

I am putting up what I already have written now, will be adding to as I go.

 

the first document is in theory impregnation messages, to be put up if a girl becomes pregnant, one per impregnable female. Also for the Courier to be impregnated by Boone, Raul, Rex or Rocket. May add more if someone has a request.

 

The second is a very rough dialogue sketch. My original intent was to link it to Lewdness, which is otherwise unused (I think?) I left the levels in but that is probably less doable the more I look at it. Left in in case a smarter mind can do more with it, otherwise assume maybe more arousal or lewdness, or random cycle. It's rough right now.

 

The third is messages to pop up during sex...not the sort that requires acknowledgement but a short one to appear and disappear like the "X is raping Y" ones.

 

Finally, a BJ one. Just humans and ghouls as, AFAIK, they are the only ones that can be blown.

 

My interests are making some more faction specific messages, both in sex and impregnation, maybe BJ. Thought about doing anal, not had much inspiration yet. Also had ideas for male couriers side vaginal sex messages, possibly talking Veronica, Cass or Sunny into risky sex.

 

Anyway, there we go. Maybe something will come of it.

preg.txt: My first thought, when reading this, was "how would I know?" Perhaps there's some kind of pip-boy plugin that gives enthusiastic narratives about health and/or pregnancies?

 

dialogue.txt: my first thought, here, was that your dialogue is narrow in scope and assumes a certain personality and frame of mind. But, that's sort of inevitable for dialog. Overall, I think we need a lot of voices speaking up so we can get a good variety of dialog options (but we also need someone to merge things and some editing oversight, for grammar and quality and appropriate abuse of the english language).

 

sex.txt: I do not think you can go wrong with simple descriptions. Sometimes I think you went overboard with abstraction. Personally, I think you would be paying attention to immediate sensations (though along with linked thoughts about potential futures and memories). For example, when I see those sexout anims, I am thinking I would be noticing the dirt being ground into my face, or... whatever else. Some of this is fine to be picking up from the visuals -- I know you cannot easily account for arbitrary locations in the dialog. Also there's that whole thing with how someone smells and how you feel about them. But that all gets complicated and I cannot think of any good algorithmic ways of capturing the feeling of those complications. So I do not know if I have any good ideas for you, here.

 

bj.txt: Here was where I have a big "complaint" -- you do not talk about flavors here. And blowjob flavors would in real life vary, significantly, from person to person, and over time, but having no mention of any flavors seems just... wrong? Salty, bitter, sour, sweet... all of should be possible, even likely (and typically mixed). But maybe you just pick one quality (bitter?) and stick everyone with that.

My intent was to keep with the sort of narrative thing we got with insemination, "somebody's pregnant" and the bellies, rather then an actual pip boy message. if it would help immersion I can instead do a pip boy message (though it would be less descriptively sexual)

My goal was to have as little from the "generic" NPCs as possible and expand more on either certain people (say, Raul or the Doc) or a certain class (Say, Boomers). My biggest problem with Sexoutsex was you got stuff like Jason Bright talking about the "whole gay thing" or his da. I erred on the side of little dialogue from the generics, though that can be changed if it would help. That one is especially rough in terms of unfinished, because I was thinking about the whole lust levels thing. I am open to suggestions for expanding.

My initial offerings were designed to be for semiconsentual sex, consensual sex, or rape any of them. I focused more on internal then external so the same message could be used in theory for rape on the road or banging doc mitchell in the office...the needs here seemed less personalized, part of why I did not do, say, Boone's penis or Rex's. Of course, maybe I should.

 

The easiest way I can see is by person or faction. Some people we are just more likley to bang (Doc Mitchell, Boone) or faction, though even then they may be enjoying their legion violation or hating. Thus the focus on what is going on in the tunnel.

200% agreed. I hit it a little with the ghouls but I should clearly do more. I may tweak especially the courier's message to involve the flavor of the cum.

Actually, I think I would leave flavors off of companion comments!

 

For them, I would concentrate on sights and sounds -- you can see them and you can hear them but you will not be tasting them during these fragments.

(I totally would love a system that allowed for building up a good relationship and solving problems and planning for the future and listening to hear hidden subtexts and which involved defining and achieving mutually reinforcing goals... but this is a game, and the game AI has an intelligence which approximates that of dying ant. Fallout AI packages make it difficult to deal with deciding which of two simple priorities is the most immediate. So... nonconsensual sex is about the best I can hope for -- I just cannot bring myself to express enthusiasm for the pickup lines of these in-game characters.)

Fair enough. I am happy to hear what folks want, you are giving me feedback so I am trying to add tweaks for you.
