bahamut2119 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I am attempting to rig a underwear mod i use so im wearing em but can take em off and wear em with armor panties came out fine bra not so good slots im am swapping from to pantys 52-48 (same as chastity belt in dd) bra from 32-56 (same as chastity bra in dd) so in addition if i want to i can auto hide em since some armors i use these will clip with and so when those dd items get forced on me my bra/panties come off. If its just because of the bra slot choice im open to other slot ideas. I am currently opening creation kit again and gonna double check all my settings this is npr lingerie currently part of a massively huge merged mod base. Heres some screens of the work done With bra on look at my skin hiding the bra in dd hids the effect on my skin Without the bra ingame Inside nifscope (posting because it has 2 entrys for body slot ive changed em both never seen 2 under 1 category dunno if this is my issue)

bahamut2119 Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 I may try that next im gonna be loading back in in about 10 min to see if one or both patchers was the issue I also had chged a ton in cc about the bra like making it clothing instead of light armor with no value did the same to the panties a month or 2 ago for better use with a underwear mod i used was nice making thousands every trip to the vendors but I have enough going on i usually cant offload everything pretty quickly. Nope patchers wasnt the issue im gonna try slot 58.
Dreamweaver Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 I think your problem is that the bra nif includes a body, as all slot 32 items that show any skin do. When you change it to a different slot you should probably remove the body branch from the nif. When you equip an item in the body slot your installed body disappears and is replaced by the item and its included body. In this case, your body stays in slot 32 and has another one added on top of it in slot 56, and if they aren't identical in shape and texture it's going to look weird. I'm not sure why the skin texture is so messed up, though. Maybe some of the bra texture is applying to it? The downside of having to remove the bra nif's body branch is that, if its body isn't an exact match in shape for the one you have installed generally in your game, the bra isn't going to fit properly any more.
Varithina Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Don't forget the sometimes odd way people do things, for example the aradia lace dress, you would expect the top to take slot 32 ie the body slot, but for some reason the outfits panty is slot 32. Well on the version i have it is anyway, somebody might have changed it.

Edit: that worked great i see some clipping of my nipples but not a ton tbh i had a feeling that I could do something like that but always been afraid to try did run across another issue I need to work on i lost my texture for the bra the strap texture is good though. So now I just gotta figure out how to add textures unless thats just a minor glitch.
bahamut2119 Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Thank you for the help so far i got most of it working as i want i did some tweaking to the shape and clippings gone mostly the strap does it to naked but in not gonna bother its not enough for me to want to fire up blender. Ive swapped back to slot 56 and i did try adding the texture via creation kit but my bra was still missing it any help would be very much appreciated ive never setup textures before oh I should also mention there's 2 bra colors 1 mesh I doubt ill ever use the white bra but would be good to know how to fix that one to. Dreamweaver Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Glad that worked, and the picture looks good! As for the texture, if you're only going to use one colour you can set that up in the nif. (This is from memory.) For each branch you'd need to expand BSLightingShaderProperties and highlight, I think, the first line under that. Then, down at the bottom in the Block Details window (possibly need to expand a line here, too, I can't quite remember) you should have two, three or four texture pathways set up. The first line would be for the diffuse texture, the second for the normal map, then there's normally two blank followed by a cubemap and the environment mask, if the mesh has them, though not all do. Check the pathways for the strap to see how it's set up. If those pathways are in place for both the 0 and 1 weights you shouldn't get the purple no-texture problem. For the other colour, unless you want to use a second pair of nifs pathed to the alternate diffuse texture, you'd need to set up an alternate texture set in the CK and apply that in the armour addon, but that's a bit more complicated and someone else might need to advise on that!
bahamut2119 Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 I figured out the issue altho its somewhat weird to me so the nif was setup with textures\clothes\gp\stockings\stockings.dds as a path yet that path dont exist ive also looked at my bsas and have no bsa towards this mod. I am mid process of swapping the textures over to this path textures\kuzak\petrovich lingerie\stockingsblack.dds and unless i stumble across setting the white bra up right im not even gonna bother odds are its black or bust unless im doing screenshot work. Edit: lost again texture didn't show up for the cups i think i may have to find another unpb underwear mod I like altho i think i have one already.
bahamut2119 Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Im at a loss with getting everything working right the panties gives me no issues just the top whenever my breasts move the top doesn't move in sync I kinda expected trouble with that. I think the only way i could do this is to attach a mesh to the inside armor top thats not worth my time to me or to use a auto equip/unequip script (something i may do sometime).
Gameplayer Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 So you just want a bra on another armor slot? Weight painting can be an issue. If you weight it for the naked body your going to find that a lot of outfits are not actually also weight painted the same. So what I end up doing is just Re-painting custom armor I like to use to use the same or as close as the Weight Paint on the Devious Bra as I can get it.... ---------- I just open up Outfit Studio, which is possible to run at the same time as the game. I re-weight the Bra to my body I use. Then I re-weight the Outfit I want to use as well. Outfit studio has a bad habit of close proximity weighting so the 7B boobs can wind up having weight assigned on both boobs....Not terribly hard to fix its just irritating. Hold SHIFT and just remove unwanted weight paints from the bones.....I wish more modders would just fix it before releasing that stuff >< its not hard but man I get tired of fixing that stuff always. Its the same with Thighs. Also not hard but tedious. If the Bra isn't big enough it might not cover the nipples. I'd rather use a zap where I can but if your making it a separate piece this might need you to stretch the area where the nipples are. Another trick I found was with the Boobs getting certain stuff to sit perfectly what I do sometimes is I leave the Body in the NIF. Since the Bra and Body will have different slots they will not both render therefore only your naked body renders or the normal armor your wearing. It just helps alignment in some weird issues. I'm probably being very confusing sorry. I just haven't tried to describe how I tackle issues before this. ---------------------------------- If I just wanted the straps for the custom I'd weight the bra with the costume in Outfit studio Then Zap Out the parts of the Bra I didn't want.
bahamut2119 Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 I may give that a go ill explain the goals again just so you or anyone else is clear 1) separate bra/panty meshes 2) different slots inline with the chastity belts/bra from dd so when those items get equipped my underwear comes off 3) slotting set so if the outfit im wearing clips with my bra/panties i can very easily use dd to hide the offending item(s) 4) have them as non upgradeable clothing but enchantable 5) and of course removable for sl animations and other events requiring me to be naked (or just when i wanna see her nude lol) Pantys are long done and do exactly what i want just the bra(s) need work.

Sounds awesome. I would just weight paint it with Outfit Studio if you find it supports your body type. If I had to have the armor too, I'd weight paint it too. ------------- My workflow is a little different. I put my copy of Bodyslide on desktop in Bodyslide folder. So open up Bs--->OS Select New Project Find your Template Find your Outfit ( I place mine on desktop much faster ) From there select Bra Right click the BRA in the right TAB MESH Copy Weight then Click TAB BONE click on Breast Bone (should either be 2 or 4 depends on if HDT ) Anyway at that point just check to see if the weights are clean on Breast. If not clean enough just erase the unwanted weighting I think holding down SHIFT plus click. Once you get the hand of that should be pretty quick. Then when done FILE-->EXPORT ( I put mine on desktop ) I then Copy and Paste the File to the Correct Directory Alt Tab into game Take armor off Put armor on Should see if it works If not Double check to see if its the right directory Or the fix wasn't enough Just go back into outfit studio, I leave mine on... Then tweak Repeat.
